To be honest good improvement lately, derby game aside, sat back v stoke last 15 and were their own worst enemy, lot better today Fulham had run out of ideas imo benson should have got to that ball earlier in their goal another cursed substitute costs us a goal, suppose that diving header later was a unbelievable let off a shout to mads, kitching n especially helik today for smothering their lads up top mitro looked impotent today

Helik MOM for me , let Mitrovic know he was around and won 70% of that battle in my opinion which was enough to keep him subdued .

Brittain too defended very well I thought although limited to how many times he could get forward .

When ever it is Kitching decides to grow the feck up instead of either diving to win penalties or attempting to wind opponents up with the trash talk he might have half a chance of having a decent career .

Otherwise it's a league two career for him along with the other shytehouses who had a chance of a career higher up at one point .

But this hasn't often been a good fixture for them and I hoped we would raise it today and make them feel uncomfortable.
Definitely a good point gained for us and we close the gap that little bit more.

Worth sticking with Poya irrespective of how this season pans out .

To get some sort of tune out of what he inherited not only in terms of confidence shot , outside interference including the playing style and selections is pretty impressive in my opinion .

As good as Fulham are he set us up today with a coherent plan and his players respected him enough to carry that out with the limited talent they have as a group

Much better teams have been rinsed by Fulham this season and are possibly the best championship group of players since at least in my opinion Wolves walked the league five years ago with Jota and Neves in their line up .

If the ownership want to pin this season on the HC and get shut following the final game at WBA then they are even more stupid than even I thought and that's saying summat .

agree with most of that Animal , Poya looked visibly upset at not winning today , he hinted on reflection (tomorrow ) he will possibly feel better with the result , It seems to me and most on here ? The choice of Substitutes , costly the last 2 games is an understatement , We all know by now we have little quality on the bench , My choice of Sub's today wouldn't have been Benson or Palmer but Halme and Hondermarck , I know we haven't seen much of either lately and Poya sees them in training day in day out , is it a case of Benson & Palmer being brilliant in training ? Or are Halme & Hondermarck poor in training ? either of the latter 2 would IMO have seen us out for a win against Stoke ? and possibly get 3pts today (a draw was a fair outcome I thought ) , Happy enough to stick by Poya for now , and good luck to him , he seems a decent lad and deserves the opportunity to carry on , If he's Happy to do so ?

I'd have gone with Halme rather than Benson or Palmer Roma personally and at least he would have given us some physicality in the midfield area .

Saying that it's an easy game with the benefit of hindsight and sat in our front rooms .

Poya kicks every ball , he may not be as animated as Stendel or have Val's presence but he is passionate as they are none the less in my opinion .

He's a very young HC and still learning but in my opinion I think he's worth sticking with .

From what I saw personally for the first 25 games of this season to what I'm seeing now he's done a remarkable job even if we do go down .

I don't suppose anybody knows what the deal is with Poya and his contract.
For stability Id agree we do need to keep him next season even after relegation. In fact we ought to be planning ahead now for that possible outcome, it could give us the good start to the season we need (and yeah, I know we're not down just yet!).
But nothing surprises me with these owners, whether they will want rid when the season ends or not.

I said two years ago under Struber if we can take it to the last game I'd snatch your hand off and I'll reiterate that .

Some of these draws have to be turned in to wins and we need a hero .

When's Woodrow back ?

I'd go to the Hawthorns on the last day all day long with our destiny still to be decided .

If you were to look at today in PL terms we are Watford , Norwich or Burnley who have just gained a home point against Man City .

When you look at it in those terms it becomes a different thing .

I appreciate the plaudits Poya has recieved in this thread. Yes, he's getting a response from the players which in itself is some feat considering how low our confidence has been. However, I would also suggest that it don't take a genius to see what was wrong on the playing side of things back in October/November.

Poya had to focus initially on not conceding as many goals which he has successfully done.

What I can't get my head round is that it took him 10 games to change what was clearly a wrong playing system with the 3 up front and being light in midfield.

Baffled me has that and it may come back to bite us in the final weeks of the season. In Poyas defence, perhaps he felt wi art the necessary quality within our ranks he possibly felt that we didn't have the right personnel to make the formation change until Bassi and Quina arrived- two players who can put a foot on the ball.

On the whole I felt we were worthy of that point today. It was an unexpected and welcome result against a side which on paper has superior quality to us. Fair play to our lads because the disappointment of the Stoke equaliser midweek must've been still raw in their minds.

OK our game plan nearly worked a treat today and credit to Poya for that. However, i felt that our head coach was poor tactically against both Derby and Stoke which I feel needs calling out.

It is what it is at the end of the day. We know who's responsible for this farce of a season.
