    New Blues striker Freddie Ladapo says he’s buzzing to have signed for Town.

    The 29-year-old, who was released by Rotherham at the end of the season, will join the Blues on a three-year deal once his Millers contract is up at the end of June.

    “I am buzzing to have signed for the club,” Ladapo told the club site. “Ipswich Town has great history and great fans, and I can't wait to get out there at Portman Road.

    “I've enjoyed seeing the stadium closer up today, as have my family, and I am looking forward to playing here as a home player.

    “The manager was a great influence in me coming here. We have had great conversations and we get on really well.

    “I thoroughly enjoy listening to him talk about his thought processes, views and objectives as they fit in with mine. It really helps when you connect with a manager and I can't wait to work with him.

    “The plan next season is to score goals and help the Club achieve its goals. I will give it my all and work hard for the side. I want to help the group and drive the standards.”

    Nice line in bull shyte anyway...
    What an absolute load of rubbish.I bet if anyone can find what he said when he joined us it would be almost ad verbatim. In Ladapo's defence, all footballers are the same. When they join a new club they never mention during their first pressy what the main reason for joining was......MONEY! ......oh and length of contract. Do they think everyone else is stupid?

    Thanks for the link
    We were very positive to Boro fans when Crooks left and the same applies to Ajayi and Vaulks.Dale fans were waxing lyrical about Rathbone when we signed him but I'm more intrigued about the comment below;
    '......is that Paul Warne,a man I absolutely cannot stand'.
    I wouldn't want to test this geezer's tolerance levels if he thinks that of Warney! Jesus Christ!

    Agreed Jimmy. If they had signed Smudge, Ogbene or Barlaser I would have been more complimentary, bit pissed off tho admittedly...

    They ask for an opinion and we gave it em. Why bother asking if they don't want the truth?

    They ought to know us folk up north tell it how it is, warts and all. I can only assume southerners are used to people making things up...

    I think if you had one or two comments against the consensus you would be right to brush them off but if there is a fairly consistent message you should probably take some notice.

    Genuinely wish him all the best and he will score goals but an infuriating player to watch most of the time and at worst, a poor teammate and selfish. Is what it is, listen or don't if you're of an Ipswich persuasion. Everyone has the right to form their own opinion and rightly so but that's the truth. Fans happy to see our second best goalscorer recently go, teammates seemingly and management.... says a lot.

    Detractor - noun - somebody that disparages or criticises somebody or something

    Quite fitting really now that Ladapo is de tractor boy
