Any players brought in permanently or on loan will have been training for their parent clubs.
Some will have done intensive pre-season training.

They've been playing a flat back four every time we've lost possession, that's how it works with the players he has available.
Chieo will be able to play a more advanced attacking role if PW requires him to do so.
sorry what I mean is they are unlikely to have the level of fitness that PW requires, that is based on the fact we are told how hard our pre-season fitness training is and that we always strive to have the fittest players, I am more concerned that it is a very new squad and a lot of key players in key positions won't have played together very much if at all. Not much we can do about that but it is a fact

I won't see us till 30th this month. Better get Harding fit he's going to.have to multitask! Right or left of the back 3, left wing back as well. We must overtrain players to get this many injuries. Still think we're waiting while we get a fee for Chioe to fund signings. I don't know whose played in last 2 friendly's but I'm hoping Hull & Greaves get a fair chance to show if they are good enough to have a future with us. Agree about Kayode same as last season too lightweight.

Greaves hasn't even been on the bench in any of the friendlies to my knowledge so you can put that to bed now, it ain't happening.

Warney that he doesn't give young players a chance. Why did Greaves get asked back? No point if he doesn't get some game time in the friendly's!

Just because he got asked back doesn't mean he turned up, his name has never been mentioned.

If you payed attention you'd see that 7 young players got minutes last night, and 5 did the night before.

You're been a complete dipstick. It's clear they wanted the lad to clear his head and get himself fit. Unfortunately you can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

I've heard he's done and won't be offered anything. That's not 100% confirmed. If that's the case, the club will most let him use the facilities while he tries and gets himself fixed up. A shame if true.

One question for those who say or think the following.... 'lessons haven't been learnt', 'wasted summer', 'never learn' etc etc.

Which club, in any division, have completed their summer business as of this moment?

And yes, I am as frustrated as most and wish we were further along with recruitment, like PW does. But the reality of transfers is never that simple, and issue free.

Nobody who claims the above wishes to take me up on my offer of answering that question?

Almost like the answer is zero. Nobody has completely concluded all business, yet our recruitment team / chairman / manager are fair game for stick because we haven't. We aren't an anomaly, we are like everyone else. Some deals are quick, some take time, many fall apart.

In an ideal world we would be all set, it isn't an ideal world we live in and never will be. Cut them some slack, I'm sure they are working far harder than most of us imagine.

That’s basically true but most teams are just aiming for status quo, no promotion expected, some maybe fighting relegation.

We on the other hand are hitting a footballing form of Groundhog Day, a position we’ve been in before ( even with the same manager) where we’ve gone up and are now expecting to go down again. Unless of course something changes and we do something different. So far there is no real indication that we are doing anything different, that’s what’s worrying the majority of fans.

But as you quite rightly suggest, things can change, there’s still time and maybe we shouldn’t worry too much about recruitment
