Was thinking more about our OAP's but seeing posts elsewhere Fletcher missing today
Exactly this, it's over 5 days after full time today till next game, think its more next Sunday at home to Livi where we might see an affect from the Thurs
Will take any kind of result today, hopefully we are a bit closer to sharpness now but still reckon we will be a bit behind Killie
Can't be any worse than Pittodrie last season opening day, can it.....
Come on Utd!
Was thinking more about our OAP's but seeing posts elsewhere Fletcher missing today
We are usually poor on our opening game....and the recenty promoted team usually do well in their first game. Just want to make sure that our lads come away from today with no injuries on that surface....and hopefully 3pts!
Same starting XI as last week v Fleetwood so Fletcher starting. However, even rumours of him being out are scary - highlights exactly how lacking we are up front. We’ve basically replaced Biamou with Fletcher and have yet to replace MissNulty.
He was a fully card carrying member of the squad though. It was no one’s fault he barely played through injury and I suspect the reason no one else was brought in last season to cover him was we couldn’t afford to. Now he’s gone, man for man Fletcher is, on paper anyway, his ‘replacement’ but we’re still a man down up front from where we were last season effectively. Frankly going further back we never really replaced LOA either………..
The point is he's not replacing Biamou is he? you might as well say he's replacing me if we are talking about the product on the park. If we are talking about finances instead then that's up to you how you see it. Biamou played absolutely no part in last season bar a few minutes off the bench that amounted to zero. He was labelled our worst ever signing on here at one point, so to say Fletcher is a like for like replacement is nonsense in my book.
One nil to The Terrors just before H/T.Five times its been mentioned today on EBC Radio Scotland's open all mikes that we are carrying a huge away support.
