I believe 100% that Charlie had a massive influence in the dressing room, how many FN times last season did Tam say i never told them to play that way?(when we were sitting in).It was clear as day that the players were following Charlie's instructions on the pitch.I posted similar last night that the eye bleeding football was not down to Tam it was the senior players who implemented it.

I have also been told that the story that the whole dressing room wanted rid of Butcher is not true but what is correct is Charlie and his mates wanted him out.The club is a basket case and what's been allowed to develop in the dressing room has me thinking that no manager with a brain in his head will touch us with an FN barge pole.

The only thing that i can see saving us is either punt Mulgrew and Watt, appoint them as manager and coach or use another insider puppet who will go along with the senior pro's and their methods.

I don't believe all this pish to be honest. You never know but I just think Arabs are looking for excuses as to what's went wrong.

Btw, if Charlie Mulgrew is responsible for us finishing 4th last season then fair play to him. 🤔

While i would love O'Neill and Big Dunc as our next manager, my mind keeps going back to when Mixu was appointed and where that led.

Too many parallels here with 2 dodgy keepers, something not sitting right behind the scenes and ex-United player comes to the rescue!
Youre right. Dont know if the old player connection works elsewhere but we certainly have had much success going down that route

I'm not trying to turn this thread into an attack on TA but surely Mark Ogren must be wondering what the phuck is going on with this guy. Asghar is pulling the strings when it comes to signings (inc. JR) and it has all gone tits up. Surely TA is as accountable as the coaches and players.

RE: Michael O'Neil - I can't see him wanting to come to us. I think he will want another crack at managing in the English Championship.
Thing is, we've signed good players this summer, and for whatever reason, they aren't performing. Levitt has been sh*te since he came back. McGrath not even half the player we know he can be. The jury is definitely out on the Aussies, as guys like that take time to adjust. Sibbald & Middleton are both 100% JR signings imo and neither look that good. Why we signed Sibbald when he can only be a bit part player is beyond me. Fletcher is the only summer signing who's actually playing well. Add all those to guys like Edwards & Mulgrew who are also not performing and questions are rightly asked of the manager. TA can't be blamed for good players not performing.

The Butcher thing was led by Tam. Not saying Mulgrew etc weren't a part of it, but Tam was the driving force behind him never being seen again.

According to Butcher himself and his family the man running the dressing room wanted him out and the man running the dressing room was not the head coach.

I agree with not blaming TA for the signings not performing - like other Arabs, I am guilty of looking for a scapegoat. Just feel utterly despondent. I don't know TA but part of me finds it hard to like and trust him, probably because he seems to like orchestrated interviews, soundbites and corporate bull$hit. I hope I am wrong about him for the sake of the club.

Yep, butcher situation was 100% Tam.

@Gunboat what’s the explanation for Tams negative and sitting back tactics now? His team is getting pumped and playing the same way we did last year. Mulgrew on the phone to that team too?

Fair enough. We have different stories.
