    Stars seem to be aligned!
Cyrille Regis made his Baggies debut 45 years ago today; he was signed from non-league Hayes. If he turns out to be half as good then we'll have a player!

Low risk, high reward. And I'd rather a kid come here and bust a gut to play and be involved than just take their wages (a la Zohore).

I just don't understand the negative reaction to this. He is pretty much a replacement for Robinson, who will be leaving today. A good off the bench option who is quick with an eye for goal - hopefully.

Not really a replacement for Robinson as he will be on a third of his salary!! Cheap cheap option but yes like his background and pray he comes good in two months time when Bruce decides to play him!

    Al I don’t get it.

Brentford buy cheap from the lower leagues and you sing their praises.

We pay huge wages to the likes of Livermore, Zahore, Phillips etc and you don’t like.

The point to be made is any talented youngster won’t get anywhere under a dinosaur like Bruce! TGH should be starting and hardly gets any minutes due to Bruces’s pals - Livermore, Reach and Phillips! Everyone gave up on Zohorse apart from Bruce - he’s a lazy c unt!

Brentford have a vision for youngsters and a first class manager. That’s the difference!

The appointment was not so much based on a talented youngster but the cheap option! I pray he comes good! Do you honestly think Bruce will start him immediately! I don’t!!

I would rather have seen a good championship striker like Diaz at Blackburn. I agree about huge wages being paid to donkeys like Reach, Livermore and Phillips but clearly Bruce still rates them in favor of youngsters and here lies the issue! Cardiff supporters warned us about Zohorse but our recruitment department have white sticks!

It’s not the lack of points on the board as apart from the Hull game we have been overall p iss poor!! We can’t score and our defending at times as been shocking!

Al, I would say the following regarding the games so far:

A Middlesbrough - poor first half, decent second.
H Watford - excellent but couldn't make it count.
    A Blackburn - average.
H Hull - good in general. Defending not so.
    H Cardiff - poor.
A Huddersfield - below what is expected.
    A Wigan - very poor.

The common theme for all the above are the poor starts and missed chances.

Don't know if you agree with this.

Add individual defensive mistakes and poor goal keeping to that as well, I think we will score more goals but also concede more hence, the amount of draws we have already had will continue.

Leicester - good summary although would say the first half was very poor at Blackburn and overall below what was expected second half although a few players performed,

Overall below what’s expected and conversion of chances shocking! Personally not happy especially with missed opportunities and sloppy defending. Swift started brightly but gone missing of late too!

I have been saying since the Boro game that this squad is nowhere near good enough. Mid Championship level at best with useless Owner together with useless Management and recruitment.

We need to start somewhere and obviously that is all levels above the players, starting with the owner. Can’t see that happening anytime soon but we live in hope. However we need to start changing things somehow.

I think we need a strategy of buying/loaning players below 25 and integrating those with the better younger players we already have. We have to start somewhere but in my opinion the fact that Robinson replacement is earning a lot less should be a cause to celebrate rather than castigate it as a cheap option.

As I also said elsewhere this squad is so thin it makes Kate Moss look like Dolly Parton. We need new players in and I for one would rather have inexpensive potential improvers over late 20 somethings on a final large salary. We have got too many of them already.

Actually stats wise we have been the better team in all of our matches. We could have won all of them but for not putting away the chances more often.
