Eddie Howe, always much lauded by all and sundry managed to get Bournemouth into the PL and during their time in the PL he spent a net sum of 195 million on players and got relegated in the end.
During a similar 5 year period Sean Dyche spent a nt sum of 78.06 million and was then given another million to spend on Stephens in a 6th season.
Eddie Howe had a win percentage of 29.4% and Sean's was 30.5%. Eddie Howe will always get lots of praise and he has now spent a good wedge at Newcastle, however, is he really any better than Sean? I think not because he still works on the premise that Kevin Keegan had that his team will score more than the opposition! This season they have only managed that once ---against Nottm Forest and they have had Nick Pope to thank in a couple of games because he ensured that they drew rather than losing.
Newcastle fans are happy because they pass the ball around etc., however, 5 draws in 7 matches could well lead to a lot of unrest if it continues because, as we all know, lots of draws will not necessarily keep you in the PL.

It’s bang on Sub - and I like you believe he’s no better or worse than the other , this all started because I said I didn’t think Sean would get a big job at a big club - partially because of the reasons you stated in the post , fashionable he’s not - negative in his approach yes he is ( even if that’s down to no backing and the players he has ).

So in summary I like Sean and the job he did for us , I just think at the end it had run it’s course , what I will say is if he was in charge now I’d still be going and backing him and the team.

Truthfully I would t want to go back to that style of football now though.

Army, I have disagreed with a lot of what you've posted about Dyche, which is fine, we're all entitled to our own opinions, but there is certainly one particular thing I do agree with you on. Sean won't be getting a PL job, not a snowball in hell's chance. There is one slight possibility, if next Easter he's still out of work, he might get a call from a struggling PL club with 8/10 games left to save their season. But that won't happen, by then he'll be managing a Championship club.
