Truth be told I'm irritated that there is no football this weekend. We could of just had a minutes applause and black armbands and played ?

But , looking at the bigger picture , SFA are acting like proper grown ups here. ( Or look like they are ). That wifey has been monarch if the United Kingdoms of GB ( aye as well as England) since 1952. A heck of a run , and from the Worldwide perspective is due some special respect . Fair amazed me when Lazio v Feyenoord had a minutes silence for her !!!

So I'll play along with this mourning thing. Just like I'll go in a Church for a wedding or funeral and keep quiet about my pagan views !! ( Aye , nae singing the songs though !!(

Truth ? I'm a wee bittie relieved not to be playing the Huns today. What with the Queen tragedy added to Beaton, Clarkson ban and the pressure on them to avoid a third drubbing of the week : it wasn't going to end well ?
Happy to play them in a couple of months , when our team should be more settled and playing even better ?

    Oh aye , FREEDOM !!!!

If you want a fair and reasonable discussion about this , your critical analysis will need a little bit more explanation BB.

A free Scotland wouldn't necessarily be as rabid as you in it's approach to diplomacy. I suspect Scotland would be as pragmatic as it's always been. Like it or not the Queen is getting a lot of love and respect from all corners of the world...not because folk have to or feel obliged to, but because they've met her, interacted with her and think she was a pretty exceptional person.

I'm ambivalent. Don't know her though she appears to have made a positive impression on a f-load of people over the last 96 years. Don't particularly care one way or another about her death personally btw. Plenty people seem to. Yes, some are syncophantic boot lickers who have no idea why they adore her but not everyone.

Ps...Nae sure DD will appreciate the kiss blowing emoj. Just a hunch, but I suspect 'poovery' would be the first thought that enters his mind.

Actually, "what's that square?" was the first thought that entered my mind.

OK. Just fyi. I`ve been an SNP voter all my life. Even although I live " abroad " just now. Even as a kid in the Sixties, I thought that way. Nevermind any practicalities. I`d rather be run by numptis in Holyrood , than from Westminster.

I`m not a Monarchist. But will extend some common deceny towards QE2.
Whatever her job was , she came across as a very decent person. And with a lot of my relatives nearing the end of life, I am probably a bit more sympathetic to all loss than when I was in my twenties.

Same goes for playing the Huns today. Now I`m an old mannie, not looking forward to a rammy . Just as close to a fair chance for our side. Which , in my opinion, would have never happened today . Given the circumstances.

Now, if next weeks games are off as well, I may rant a bit too ?

I’ll give it another 10 days before I give my verdict on the pishing contest in these here parts vying for the “I’m most outraged/overtly Braveheart” contributor, and award the virtual trophy.

Just as well. Your bar for what constitutes poovery is relatively low...so a manny blowing you kiss would probably feel like ***ual assault.
