That’s my take on it. Ungrounded speculation on the filth’s move for him has appeared elsewhere. I have no idea why it’s being trailed as some sort of given.

I honestly can’t see him being anything other than a benchwarmer this season.

Jimmy says that Duk is "smiling and happy" since his return, but he won't be involved tomorrow as it's too soon.

Unlike with McGrath & MacKenzie who I think we need to keep for the year if we?re serious about second, if we were to get a decent offer in January for Duk (anything from our money back for what we paid Benfica upwards) Id sell him.

Usual caveats about who the buying club is of course but its clear hes awa. Hes been ok since he came back in, but not outstanding.

We?re well covered out wide these days & could use the funds to add someone who wants to be here.

He might find it a struggle to find a club after his antics this summer.

I like the loon and be happy enough if he stays, but considering why he went in the huff in the first place, I doubt he will be around ower much longer.

A winner against septic in the post split game would be a fair redemption for him.

Duk says that an argument between the club and his agent led to his AWOL spell last summer.

Maybe his agent told him not to, while they were hawking him to other clubs. At least he's gone now, so everyone is happy.

Aye at least he is finally away, best thing that happened in the recent transfer window and to get a couple of quid for the laddie as well (that was a bonus)
Canna help but thinking that the return of the boy and then his inclusion in the squad etc had a negative impact on us and contributed to our decline, nae saying he is 100% the reason for our downturn in fortunes, but in my humble opinion the timing of the laddies return along with our rapid decline is more than just a coincidence.
But Swaddon2 mate, as you say he is finally away now so thank fk for that and happy days for us all.
    Cheerio
