The only good thing is that Firpo can’t be picked for next game. Great run for penalty, then he gives 2 away, absolutely useless as a defender.

Bambi good interplay with Jack for cross but is like a Rabbit in headlights in front of goal. Why the hell was he taking penalties, you could see the fear in his face. Then they keep him on to pander to his confidence… 2 selections that have cost us countless points this year ( oh I forgot Barndoor won us a point v Brighton apparently)

Sounds a bit like the Fast Show, but one nil up early / penalty to go to two up, at home, in our position, that would have suited everyone. But no, defence again, Firpo etc, we get a point. Just dont see it being enough.

Nailed on to go down bath , don't be surprised if Everton grab a point against City and Leicester get take something from the Liverpool game.

Shame our clueless board waited too long to get big Sam in cos even though I am not really a fan he does know how to set a team up.

Could be a while before we see the bright lights of the Premiership again.

I still can't get my head round the fact that a player devoid of all confidence and in the worst form of his career not only decides to take a crucial penalty, but everyone let's him....madness, I honestly believe at 2 nil we would have gone on to win, that has sent us down.

i know I'll get everyone and his uncle down on me for this, but the penalty taking responsibility isn't just down to a player (see Guardiolas response to Haarlands honourable but misplaced decision), its down to what is, or is likely to benefit the team/club. Whoever (Allardyce, or anyone else NOT on the pitch at the time), who thought that giving Bamford that kind of responsibility for that kind of kick in that kind of match, needs taking out and giving one hell of a kicking.

Agree 100% about where we might have been with a 2 - nil lead.

Misses the point - Bamford took it so he assumes responsibility but the broader point is that if you wanted confirmation Bamford isn’t reliable - yet again.

Oh and the second half chance that hit his shoulder.

He just isn’t good enough over the course of a season. Sadly it looks like he thinks that too at the moment.

If he was a race horse the vet would put him out of his misery.

Have to disagree here, as Big Sam said, non of the other players even tried to take the ball off a player short on confidence, instead they all hid behind Bamford at that moment in time.

Not correct as Sam was asked about it and said it was already in the program of penalty takers as he hasn't had enough time to digest things.
So in club records it says Bamford is number 1 taker.
