Fair to say they've got what they were aiming for with Shinnie's ban.
Thankfully he's back Wednesday, that's a must win, end if.

Fair to say - without wishing to sound like Captain Hindsight - that as soon as I saw that lineup today I knew we were getting nothing.

Robson had little choice because of who was missing - & Clarkson was decent and at least tried to create something - but you’re never going there with that midfield and getting anything.

Mirror of Livi away earlier in the season. A game where you need size and physicality in there and we just didn’t have it. Second to everything l.

Back 3 and Roos good again, though Scales was sleeping and poor at the Mekon’s goal.

Richardson did ok. Hayes was horrific.

Barron - waster. Just let him go.

Ramadani can’t do it all himself in there.

Watkins & Mio were ok. Diets are poor at the back & weak in the air but we lacked the quality to take advantage.

Paper thin squad clearly exposed today. Gonna be a busy summer.

All on St Mirren now then as expected. I’d take needing a home win against them to secure third mind. COYR.

St Mirren at home isn't going to be easy.
They are scoring goals at the moment.

No games easy for us - but a home game vs St Mirren to pretty much secure third with a win - everyone’s taking that.

    If we can’t / don’t win that, we don’t deserve third…

If Duk is not back and fit then we have next to no chance on Wednesday. Miovski has once again proved to be a big lump of petulant wood not unlike the man he replaced. I would much rather take the risk on a young ambitious striker with nothing to lose.

He ran himself into the bloody ground in that first half.

Well he sure didn't score. If he didn't throw himself to the ground so much he would have a better chance.

When I think of the dross we've had playing up front.

We get a decent player and folk can't recognise it.

Robson decided to play with the 5-3-2 and it worked for the first few games

But it is a hopelessly defensive formation and more so in the way the team operate with direct long balls to 2 isolated strikers

You cannot control games of football with a back 5, it will always be a case of backs to the wall and get a lucky goal and to a degree the formation has been figured out in the last few games

I take it the Robson out thread will be up soon.

A paper thin squad with little depth and quality has taken its toll with many first picks playing on fumes.

If you had said back at the end of January that we would be in a good position for third place come May, we would have got the men in white coats to come and take you away.

Going to be a big game on Wednesday night and Hearts play the Hun and then the have a derby game.
Shinnie back should give the team a lift for it too.

A point would have been excellent, but still rather be ahead in third than chasing it.
    Plenty to play for still.
