0 shots on goal against a diddy team like Meadowbank is pathetic.

Didn’t see the first half, but would imagine it was similar to the second which was a turgid shïtfest.

No shots on target vs Ferranti is frankly pathetic, but sadly unsurprising.

It was the expected long ball physical battle - as expected - and we came off second best - as expected.

New boy Ruby looked solid, everyone else, pretty meh tbh.

Just same shït, different season really.

Ah well, just timothy next week then…

We have Macdonald & Williams to come in to join Ruby and a new LB to play the wing back role. Also allows Devlin to replace Morris at right WB. Hayes is then an option further forward. Better defenders should lead to better passes to midfield.

Sounds as though Duk is a stone over weight and enjoyed himself too much on his holidays.

Can seem to recall it took him a few months to get going last season as well.

No shots on goal is not good so it’s clear we need to splash the cash on a few creative players to help Clarkson.

On a side note what’s happened to the boy on here?

I won’t mention his name but I thought he would have been on here moaning after that result.

Lost a lot of energy and drive from midfield in losing Rama and McCrorie. It will likely take time to address that and to integrate the new players. 1 point out of 6 looks a distinctly possible start. What happened to those transitions I wonder?

    Not long back
    Brutal game
They have a basketball team playing for them- given their height and physical strength, thought they would score from a set piece or two, thankfully they were woeful also with the balls they put in.
We needed to play the ball on the ground but that ****e plastic pitch was bone dry and ball seemed to stick to it, so we resorted to long balls which apart from a couple of hold ups from Duk and Miovski and a couple of diagonals, was too easy for them to win the ball.

Pluses- Polvara put in a good shift - tried to play passes to feet and got stuck in
Shinnie does what Shinnie does- battled well
Rubezic- looks solid. VAR check for a red card at his booking ? God apparently said in radio he was lucky? Surprised Beaton didn’t take the opportunity to get a red out

Negative- McKenzie is awful- more one footed than Jonny Hayes and can’t even disguise it. I will give him credit for battling the big forwards but he will not be a starter in many games for us this season
Clarkson- game pretty much passed him by- ball was in the air more than it was in the ground and was very congested when we did get it down

Morris did some good work but didn’t get ball across - I will say the pitch didn’t help as got stuck under his feet but thought he did ok but jury still out

I pretty much agree with all of that KincorthDon. Polvara did well I thought but played the wrong ball in the second half when he should have put Miovski clear but opted instead to give it to Duk. I think when we get more players in McKenzie and Morris wont be starters. Hayes I thought was very poor. It is extremely difficult to play against a team of giants who use brute force and constantly get away with it. Truly awful game.
