    First half mediocre.

    Second, utter feking pish. Useless.

Early doors but very concerning indeed.

We seem like we were as ready for this game as I was, really not that fussed

Tbf you couldn't really pick a tougher opener in the group than this on the plastic but yea we seem a good bit away from being ready

Which is worrying with a derby as opener, the league is what matters same as last season, until we get established in the top flight that will be the case

Need to get a couple CMs signed as without Docherty we are left with Sibbald, way way light and hopefully the extra few games sees us looking better in three weeks

Had the fear about this one

Opening game + cup record + plastic pitch = perfect storm

Should we be worried? possibly. Meltdown, we are goign down etc. Too feckin soon.

What's worrying is Goodwin was in the papers this week saying just how well we are prepared compared to last season and that he's drummed into the players just how important it is to get off to a good start.

That was absolutely dire to watch.

It's obvious, even from JGs press conference before match, we now treat this as pre-season. It devalues the competition and cheats the fans.

Goodwin is a f*cking clown. That was absolute shyte and he had his excuses out before the game. Asking the fans not to be too negative, he might be better asking the f*cking players. What possible excuse can there be for them being ready and us not? F*cking none!

Here we go again, f*ck me this is gonna be a long season. Explain to me why they were ready but we weren't? Explain to me why they made us look like the lower league club yet again. Stop pinning everything on one player being missing. That performance was f*cking miles from good enough,MILES!!

Why can't the manager stick a team out that has a central pairing of strikers? Goals win games. Lone strikers for United do not work imo. We need to have two. I know he changed the formation from his usual one but why not start with 442 and get the players going with that? The Croatian is too short to play as a centre-half imo. Could you get him in midfield or see if he can fill a fullback role?

Play players where they are comfortable and know their roles.

As always the manager in-game management is so non-existent. Taken apart again by a manager who liked the first half but knew how to quickly pick a part the tippy tappy pedestrian going nowhere football tactics employed by Goodwin.
