If you check the full list of proposed buildings there's a hotel, shops, residential, a whole load of businesses isn't there? It's a fully functional 24/7 hub PLUS the stadium.
They're hardly gonna stop the city from moving though, are they? It's the football side of it that folk are getting their knickers in a knot over. Can guarantee if this was a concert venue with the same 24/7 hub surrounding it there wouldn't be half the outcry there is.

£95,000,000 though? For a team with three and a half thousand season ticket holders? Funny mushroom season 🤣

I would imagine that figure is being used by the Texans and their partners to put pressure on the council to approve. What i mean by that is the hotel, housing, pub and crematorium are probably all included in that.I don't think DFC would be paying rent on a 95 million pound stadium. If the council were to turn down planning Nelms would be in the press saying the council are turning down millions of investment in the city.

If i was a member of the Dee Fan Group i would be asking lots of questions regarding how much rent will the club have to pay and can the owners use it willy nilly for concerts etc ruining the pitch in the process whenever they please?.That is why i am not jealous in the slightest at the prospect of DFC having a shiny new stadium to play in.The FACT is they don't own even one brick of the development and they never will.

The nightmare scenario for us is if Ogren decides he wants to copy his American counterparts and decides we are also moving in and he sells Tannadice to get his money back.If this project fails that is the one and only reason i'd be happy.

I have heard Ogren is over here so its about time he put the shared stadium or amalgamation rumour's to bed.I don't trust The Texans but then neither do i have much faith in our owner either.

I don't think you are alone in not having faith in our owner. Letting Asghar throw about his money, we don't know his end game because of these actions.

I don't think we have anything to worry about regarding amalgamation or ground sharing. Hearing the Brentford tie-up is getting pretty close.

Any details on how we benefit from it?

    That's promising if true

Also wish people would give Ogren a break, he made mistakes but we are in a much better situation than we would be without him taking over when they did and had some good seasons until the epic fail that was 22/23

Hopefully now on the tough trajectory to stabilise and build, we have the potential with our fanbase to do well but it won't be easy, its a tough top flight we have came into imo

All i have said is i do not have much faith in Ogren which i reckon is fair enough given his track record so far.BTW did you no also tell me to leave aff Stephen Thompson a few years ago?.
