Traps & Midds in the starting line up. Babs & Seve covering CM.
Loving that.
Goalless at half time, neither side really looking like scoring, C'mon United.
Just a wee bridge too far at this stage of our development.
Very difficult to defend for 90 minutes against that side and hope to take something.
We move on.
Bench looked a bit light with injuries, especially central midfield when you need fresh legs. So frustrating but you just can't count on docherty.
Disappointing to lose the goal, poor at back post, conditions seemed to be at their back second half
Plenty positives though, to go there with Graham, Docherty, Sibbald and Moult out and didn't give up much, didn't create either
Good to see Strain back and Odada to get some time on park as gives more options now for centre mid which we didn't have today from the start
Fans were excellent btw, not sure when the ssb stole take me home but must have been in the last couple years, been a Utd song for could decades, weird ssbs , no chance are they winning the league either btw
Good that we have a game on Wed too as been a run of 4 away games in 5, Motherwell have less time between the games too with them playing tomorrow
Also was decent results with the fun and Killie no winning
Can't be too disappointed with that, tough gig for anyone going to Pittodrie the now, can see them beating Sevco midweek, so we move on with the positive knowledge that we competed strongly whilst weakened in strength against a thoroughly decent side.
To be fair it was like the Alamo in the 2nd half also had the elements against us too.Holt had a great chance with a header but they were relentless to the end and we were very close to shutting them out.Very disappointed at the timing of the goal but we defended like our lives depended on it and gave it everything.
Walton, Adegboyega and Holt get special mentions for good saves and tackles. Didn't create much but looked tight and compact. Only fault was not replacing Dalby with Meshack imo. Nippy and pacey through the middle with Middleton and Thomson on each flank would have been worth a shot. Is Sevelj the next Preget? We have missed a player like this for years.
Still 9 games in, two narrow 1-0 defeats to Sevco and away at Aberdeen when understrength
I'm liking the way we are going about things,if we can avoid a significant mid season dip then we'll be fine
We will be stronger in a couple weeks with Moult, Doc and Graham back in the mix and Strain building up
It's just a pity as I said early in thread we didn't go up there with full compliment as was confident we'd get atleast a point
Move on to Wed now as Stoke says, a tough but winnable game
