    Betfred Super League Round 8

    Wakefield Trinity 13 - 12 Castleford Tigers

Jeez I've been through every emotion it's possible to go through , The Derby tends to do that but this was off the scale tonight .

We were down 0 - 12 at halftime and to be honest we were woeful , we got away with that with Cas failing to add the extras after scoring 3 really good tries , those missed conversations would prove to be very costly .

Second half we got ourselves on top through sheer will and determination , we still weren't at our best and Cas started to creak and their energy levels dropped .

Tries by young Harvey Smith and Max Jowitt which were both converted tied the game up and Mason Lino won it for Trinity with a drop goal with 5 minutes remaining .

It felt like we'd got out of jail but then again what do I care in The Derby , only the result matters .

Away with your hard luck shyte Cas , you lost .

    Up The Trin .

A win and 2 points giving us a 50% win ratio from 8 games which when we look at who we have played other than Cas then we can be please with life back in Super League.

We were well below our best and Cas can feel badly done to.

Need to turn up at Catalans and get another away win - fingers crossed.

When you consider the huge amount of injuries we've had and still getting it's testament to the depth of squad we've assembled Chop .

We've only one fit half at the moment although Truman should be back for Magic Weekend hopefully .

All the games are on Sky Pass and the beeb have a few too .

Sky channels are Sky Sports Action and Sky Sports Plus .

Thursday and Friday night tend to be Sky Sports Action with a proper build up from 7.30PM .

The games not covered on Sky Sports Action are on Sky Sports Plus but tend to come on 5 minutes before kick off .

Cheers pal, appreciate that. The kids kind of dominate the telly in the evening but I'll get a look at the Trin soon, not that I claim to know a great deal about RL but I certainly respect the game, players fitness, commitment, bravery and skill. One can always learn because watching footballers act the way they do, it's a discredit to the sport and quite frankly immoral and embarrassing.

If you get chance look at Magic weekend games all teams play over the weekend 3rd / 4th May at Newcastle FC - great weekend of brutal sport at it's best!!

If you fancy watching a game live at Belle Vue let me know, I occasionally have a spare ticket.

Also Pass when you say your kids dominate the TV, 2 things to consider here.

1.Old fashioned playing outside till it's dark and you call them in for supper and bed!

2.EE TV deal I did recently I was offered a second box free of charge.

    Happy days!

As Chop has alluded to Pass get thi sen over to Belle Vue if tha can mate , there's no substitute for watching Rugby League in the stadium .

I took the wife to the first home game last season against the Bradford Bulls and she was hooked straight away , ST holder now , she loves it .

I took a work mate to the Derby last Thursday , the wife is still recovering from a major operation and he took her ST , he'd never been to a Rugby League game and he absolutely loved it , he was raving about it afterwards he's going to the Warrington game next month .

Let us know if tha can get along for a game and myself , the wife and Chop and his mate will meet thi in the fan zone and have a few beers before .

Thanks for all your kind help gents, it's very much appreciated along with the very kind offers of meeting up for a game which i would love to happen one day.

I have a heck of a lot going on in my personal life and things are really difficult and heart breaking right now. I've taken a lot of hits and suffered a great deal of emotional stress and turmoil in recent months.

I suffer great anxiety in terms of social gatherings, especially with what has occurred in recent times in my private life. Leaving the house is extremely difficult with what I'm going through for instance and is just one of many drawbacks im in the process of trying to overcome. Going to work takes up all my mental strength right now and I have a heck of a lot to try and come to terms with.

You'll have to bear with me gents I'm afraid, but things will get better once certain things in my life have been finalised and i can move on. I can't go into detail but it's extremely tough to cope with right now. I know you both will respect that cos over the years, I sense that you're very decent and sincere blowks, especially with your comments and contributions on this message board over the years.

I'm gonna take in some games on TV and see if it captures me. I know Animal said there's no substitute for going to games but that is just beyond me at present.

I've taken in both League and Union since childhood in fits and spats, and I must say that RL is the one that I prefer as Union seems far more unsophisticated, although the International RU gets me out of my chair also. Especially the WC semi final victory against the All Blacks in recent years. That was absolutely epic. Shame we couldn't follow it up with a victory in the final against the Spingboks. Is that classed as sacrilege to admire both? I don't yet quite understand the etiquette as you can tell!

Thanks again for your courtesy fellas. I hope your wife makes a healthy recovery Animal and thanks very much for the link Chops.

I'll take in a game if I can get the dibs on our TV!
