Can anyone remember what happened down at NYS on Saturday, 12th January 2013?
Plastic sheeting laid on the pitch at NYS to protect it from the predicted overnight snowfall.
Well, it did snow and it covered the sheeting.
RUFC called on volunteers to clear the snow off the sheeting.Warney got stuck in with a wheelbarrow. SE helped to dish out Pukka pies and hot drinks.
Hundreds of people also helped out with the job in hand.
Cutting a long story short, the snow was cleared, match referee gave the thumbs up. Match went ahead.
And then we lost 2-0 to visitors Barnet!
'Oh, shoot', I thought to myself at the time.
Let's hope we can get the go ahead today after all the hot air wafted over the pitch.
A good win would be a bonus too.

I'll be amazed if this game goes ahead today.

Currently - 4 here in Brinny and it is only going to reach -1 at lunchtime!

Most of the pavements on my road haven't cleared of snow and ice since it fell last week. I wonder what it's like surrounding the stadium on Main street, Don Street especially and New York Way? there's usually a puddle of water beneath where I sit in the North stand where the roof leaks, I bet that's a patch of ice today, best take my skating boots

Will you lot stop moaning about the weather, it is a lovely clear winters day. Some of us have travelled a long way to see this game and are very grateful the club is trying to play the game. Not all of us sit in the same town we were born and can decide on going to a game or not 1 hour before

Surely can’t be off now, Trotters will be well trotting over the M62 by this time so yes it will be cold but bring it on and top marks for the club for getting it on.
