It all depends on what the club evolves into as the current owners have evolved a successful sports strategy back home over many years into a multi million dollar organisation.

Remains to be seen, imo, if they will throw the bucks necessary into our club to succeed as it appears their sporting cash-assets are possibly been thrown down acquiring other clubs to speculate on & accumulate from via spread betting.

Realistically they could keep us up in PL on the cheap (within their cash resources) or pump extra in to see us mid-table , imo.

Looking at economies globally now, then you will find out any answers to that conundrum, for sure.
To invest (at some degree of risk) in order to make meaningful gains you gotta roll the dice, take a punt & have a gamble to move forward.
We took gambles sacking Bielsa bringing in a yank than tried to fix it with one manager after another. So that ended well. The players we have I can honestly say none would make it in premier league. Even the ones we sold at huge prices can't make it. Like I said if a Man united is struggling with all the millions they have spend what chance we have even City now are struggling.
They are wanting us to go up so they can cash in to red bull.

Alot of hindsight in your evaluations Oz, mate.

There is always gonn he a psychological phenomenon called hindsight-bias which is the tendency to believe 'after an event has occurred' that one would have predicted the outcome to he fair.

So I would balance that with the assumption that its valuable by learning from mistakes & so being able to make better decisions in the future. 👍

That as we all know does not always consist of how much money you throw at something particularly in competitive sport, likewise football with its crackdowns on profit & loss now starting to kick in.

So I would emphasize the word 'balance' in running a club whether in Championship or PL nowadays & the importance of responsible ownership too.

All very tight now, think the dreaded international break will either make or break us, have players away, but also some who can re-charge etc.
Swansea is a must win, we have to come back and fire from the the first whistle, the Sheff Utd / Burnley game now looking massive for all three clubs.

MT - I think Farke has done really well this year and having a big support and good squad also comes with its own pressure and we sit top with the run in to go.

That said I think the negativity is as much the past history of messing it up - may also be the impact of the constant media pundit coverage a lot of whom pump out negative stuff.

Still think we are going up but time will tell.
