Well done for pulling it back and keeping us in the tie. But fk me our defending is absolutely horrendous and non existent at times and for their second what the actual fcuk was both Molloy and Knoester thinking about??? fkn comedy gold.

Sokler is nae a great option to lead the line but fk me he is a far better option than Yengi, whoever scouted that muppet needs to have a long hard look at themselves, Have seen enough of Yengi, he should be punted out on loan, or just punted, he certainly should never ever be our first choice striker, totally useless.
Also with every game that passes have seen enough of Milanovic to know he is nae that great, not so sure fit ah the hype was about from the press and the club on his signing, he is pretty poor.
The french lad Aouchiche is certainly not the worst signing Thelin has made but there is room for improvement but I would not be writing him off just yet.

We did well to pull it back last night so credit for that, well done but we should never have been in that position in the first place.
It will be a tough ask in Bucharest next week but we can do it, we just need to stop gifting teams goals and we will be fine.

I thought we had some very decent spells in there, but that defending for the goals was just horrendous - Willie must have been pulling his (30 year ago) hair out watching that. But as the great man said, the defence was very young, they'll learn. Not good enough on a Euro night though - or any night, or Saturday afternoon!

Yengi just needs to not play, and I would put Sokler on ahead of him in any game until we get Nisbet, or another real striker, back in.

What a difference with Dante and Shinnie coming on. New contract apparently on the table for Dante once transfer window shuts. Let's hope we start seeing more of him. Hopefully Sean Connery's granddaughter loves Aberdeen and convinces him it's the best place for him.

Take the defence out the equation for a moment and I thought we looked like a proper team for chunks of that game. Get a proper striker in and sort that defence out and we'll be right. I hope.

I think we'll lose over there - but start fast and score first and you never know.

p.s. this site just gets worse and worse to use!

Always a lot of moaning and most teams fans are guilty of it, even after wins.

I thought we played well overall. We've all seen enough fitba over the years, to know having a man advantage doesn't always work out to a teams advantage.

I think too much people thought FCSB were shyte too. Nonsense.

A young defence last night, did all right though. I'd like to say an experienced defender would help, but I think how we set up with the 4-2-3-1 means we will always ship goals, regardless of who is at the back.

I wouldnt say FCSB are shyte but they did nothing of note to impress me last night and were there for the taking after their player got sent off.

It will be a different story over there though, I think they will play a lot better at home than they did at Pittodrie.

Also I agree with dd in regards to who plays in our defence. Jensen seems to be taking a lot of abuse for his performance last night, particularly because he was so high up the pitch for both of their goals leaving the centre backs exposed.

The problem is this was happening last season when Devlin was the full back because Thelin is instructing his full backs to play so high up the pitch.

Teams sussed that out a long time ago and considering we keep conceding goals because of it either Thelin isnt bothered about us conceding goals from our fullbacks being caught out of position or he doesnt think thats why we are conceding these goals.

We probably should have beaten them at home, but their finishes were very good.

Showed the difference of having the right player(s) up front.

We definitely need to get decent strikers in. We are woeful in front of goal.
It was interesting that last night Jimmy Turnip subbed a lot of his new players off. The suggestion that they aren?t good enough to wear that jersey comes to mind.
Ohsh!t hides in matches. Has the odd nice touch but doesn?t properly pick up areas of space to hurt opposing teams. He puts himself onto defenders. Not a clever player.
Yengi is horrendous. What a disastrous signing.
Dante Polvara done more and looked far more dangerous in his short space of time on the pitch than both those muppets put together.
Shinnie is out of favour as is Devlin. They may well be better looking for another club. Turnip only looks to Shinnie when things are real desperate.

Shinnie is getting to the stage of his career where he shouldnt be playing every week. The problem is he is the only player in the squad that can drive us on.

Nilsen seems to be a favourite of Thelins but to me he slows the play down too much when we should be playing like we did after the subs came on last night.

    Absolutely this.

We know Shinnie is coming to the end, but he made a huge difference when he come on. You can't really buy his level of experience, especially with such a young team.
His interview after the match was good as well. Saying individual errors cost us, then quickly changed it to team errors. Individuals don't make mistakes, the team does! Straight out of the American business manuals.

Nilsen is two months younger than Shinnie and didn't have pace to lose in the first place.
I don't think he is made for the Scottish game.
Maybe if he had come over at a younger age it would have been different. All he does, in my opinion, is point a lot and give the ball away. As I said on a previous thread. I don't mind players who shout at other players, but you don't do that if you f*ck up as much as anyone else.

The two in midfield, in front of the defence are an important part of Thelinball and we need the right pairing, as much as we need more quality up front.

I saw in the highlights that some of the commentators weren't 100% sure if it was a red card.

They must be having a laugh. It was the reddest red card ever.
