Was thinking this with the Man Yoo game whn they had the low block. A lock picker who can carry the ball, dribble, make clever little dinky passes. Cole Palmer, KDB, Beardsley type to allow EH to mix up his tactics from 433 to maybe a 4411, 451, 352 or even a diamond midield. I dunno. Something different to mix it up and intriduce a formation at certain times to allow a midfield maestro room to operate and work magic. Another Cabaye or Ben Arfa (who was consistent) type.

    Mango makes some good points.

With aging players and contracts coming to an end the next 2 seasons are going to see around 15 players depart.

Tripz, Krafth, Schar, Lascelles all out of contract in summer.

Ashby doesn't look like he's good enough.

Tino and Hall are the only two full backs that are at the level needed.

Flogging Botman Mid-season is a bit of a risk.

Some bad news on Dayann Mathalie. Looks like he's got an injury. Might not deter the club if it's nothing too serious.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

During a Toulouse press conference, it was revealed that Methalie has been ruled out for several weeks due to a knee injury.

The teenager has started 14 Ligue 1 games for Toulouse so far this season and has been deployed in a wing-back role on the left for the majority, contributing one assist.

He was set to miss Friday?s match against Lens due to suspension regardless so the club opted for the defender to have surgery to address a chronic knee issue.

Toulouse head coach Carles Martinez Novell said during his pre-match press conference: ?He'd been in pain for over a year, so we decided to take advantage of his suspension to operate now.

?It's not serious, but we don't know exactly when he'll be back. He'll be out for several weeks.?

3 in the mixer for Willock signing in Jan

Crystal Palace were previously linked earlier this season, and their interest still remains. But joining the Eagles in pursuit of Willock are Leeds United and Nottingham Forest.

    Best of luck to him.

Mind, peak Willock was a couple of seasons ago and he doesn't offer anything more than being another body.

Convient his injury is now and for a few weeks. . .

If we want him, I think we'll still go for him.

I dont think we will sign anyone significant this window. Maybe a unknow youngster.

It doesent really sound like any of the linked players will be available.

I'm not sure that new signings is what we need, tbh.

Howe should spend all his time, reviewing his tactics, training etc.

Directors should concentrate on securing contracts with the players we got, and that we want to keep.

Ramsey is his direct replacement but has a lot more to his game. Once JJ is up to speed we'll see a decent return on investment.

Best wishes to Willock where ever he lands.

I think it's an unfortunate coincidence. The injury is a minor ones as you said Jam, it won't deter Newcastle United's pursuit of the lad.

Ideal profile right now. Versatile, young, ambitious, quality, physical, bags of potential.

yeah man, the word is that club plans to be opportunistic. If someone becomes available they'll act.

Despite the knock it looks like the one closest to getting done is the Dayann Methalie fella.

Let's see how it works out!

with 9 games this month the lad need to find some consistency and get some results even if it means winning ugly.

Don't really care. At this point all that matters is the points.
