Dan James 😮😮
Doesnt look like Fat Frank's £180m worth of signings is going to help them beat Liverpool.
[QUOTE=WTF11;39577803]Ok, so I was one if those who suggested we would struggle to survive, and was proved completely wrong by the performance against Liverpool, where essentially we played the same players as got us promotion. Dont think anyone would criticise the players (and I made a comment about neither Koch nor Rodrigo having had any chance to "acclimatise" to the way Bielsa wants the team to play, so hardly surprising they both looked ike fish out of water).[Quote]
And here we have it, good lad WTF for appologising for getting it completely wrong again!
I've got a granddaughter who keeps getting things wrong, but her appology and winning smile usually gets her out of trouble, but then she is just five - you on the other hand .....
logical that cooper will come back in, we shipped 4 goals last weekend!
unusually, we agree WTF11, wont do Koch´s confidence any good, and Rodrigo hasnt adjusted to the pace in training yet, sure they will be ok in time though.
Daniel James (again) what do we think? seems he wants to come, personal terms agreed, just the fee to sort out....
We have Helder Costa and Ian Poveda for that right wing slot. James would be a very expensive non essential addition, i think. I believe we need a specialist left back. Dallas has looked suspect in both games, especially late in the game. I like Dallas but I think he is not a premier league level left back. Alternatively, Bielsa could play 3 in defence and have 2 koch and phillips play in front of them. Leicester did this yesterday. Seemed to work but it was only Burnley so cannot make any conclusions.

Be interesting to see how many of those who thought Casilla was the next big thing, or that JKA was "a nice bit of business" would be willing to acknowledge their own misjudgements.
(And for good measure, I was wrong about the players who got us promotion, for all the good that Rodrigo and Koch did (both conceding penalties and woeful defending from Kich for the v Dyke goal), we may as well have been playing with 9 men).
Said elsewhere that playing both with next to no time to acclimatise (not that some thought that "capped internationals" needed any), was nonesense and as far as my opinion of both goes, its unchanged. Neither has shone and neither has had that opportunity to acclimatise (I suspect the two are connected).
