Summer 2022 thread!

There isn’t much on the rumour front so we have found ourselves debating choices of foods. I don’t do foreign foods, simply for the reason I find them disgusting. Give me mince and tatties, steak pie, bacon egg and chips any day rather than the junk they serve abroad that is smothered in some crappy sauce. Another thing I don’t like is these dodgy soup.Give me lentil, broth and I will even stretch to leek and potato as long as it’s not that creamy version of it rather than all those other types. Folk that like tomato soup are also worth the watching.

My old man worked for Herds the butchers while I was growing up.

Suffice to say that when I left home I promised myself that I would never eat mince and tatties* again.

I never have, I left home in 1977





* I eat tatties and minced beef in lots of guises, just not mince and tatties as we all would know it.

It's braw !! Needs onions ,peas and wee bits of carrot mixed into the mince. And real tatties toucan mash up with your fork ,on the plate. Then mixit all together and gobble it down. Nom ,nom, nom.
