Hopefully the owners learned their lesson with Ardley and Burchnall not to employ any more bland boring insipid dullards. LW had something about him, character. That's what you need in a manager.

Sod that - we're around the play-offs and if we manage to keep Langstaff through January which will be no given when Williams leaves then we have just over 20 games of him with us left at the club realistically.
If we get a Cotterill type until the end of the season who has proven success and can strengthen with some smart loans then perhaps we can squeak up through the playoffs.
We'll be a lot more attractive to managers and Langstaff if we're a League One club and the only chance I'd say of seeing him play for us next season.

Can't agree there that he got us knocked out of the play-off - the incredibly stupid foul by the on-loan Forest player did that. It would have made a difference to him as he would have had a promotion on his CV if we had gone on to win the final.
I know some will come back and say that we wouldn't have won a final anyway, but no-one knows. You can't say that play-offs are a lottery while at the same time saying that there's no way we would have won.
Williams was a clear step-up but I think that Burchnall played his part and laid a solid foundation.
I wouldn't want him back as head-coach, but possibly as assistant.
I'm a huge fan of Garrard, but he doesn't fit our philosophy at all. The recruitment team have been signing technical possession based players for the last 24 months. If we want an experienced promotion winner who fits our way, i'd be looking at either Paul Cook, or Karl Robinson.
Friday is nearly over - well it is here in New Zealand.
