What about the shops that are hiking prices up?

We will all be pissed off about something but some things that are put on here are just idiotic imo

I’d rather we all just try and get to the end of this virus and stay alive

I think much of the emotion directed at disaster capitalism has it's roots in the financial crash in 2008 and what occurred afterwards Miller .

The present situation brings these things back up again .

It's not easy to just let it go for me personally and the impact 2008 had on this country .

A coronavirus drive-through testing centre has been introduced in Sheffield.

Health chiefs say it is part of extensive plans they are putting in place Nationwide to tackle a range of scenarios as the virus spreads.

There are currently two confirmed cases in South Yorkshire.

Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation has said in a statement that a specially trained team will test people who are given an appointment by NHS 111 at a location just off the Sheffield Parkway.

There's a few examples of profit from disaster situations.
I've already mentioned the supermarket s. Close them down? Nasty people.
Contractors salvaging and repairing flood damaged homes. Stop them? Disgraceful
Contractors supporting the forces during war is a long standing example. Halliburton get a lot of flack for providing support functions in the US such as cleaning, catering, accommodation. Someone's got to do it otherwise the troops wouldn't get fed or kept warm/cool. The army would grind to a halt as they don't have the resources or time when it,s full on and into battle. Don't go to war then would be one argument.
PPE, ventilators, equipment. Lots of money to be made but I bet they,RE earning it. Stop these nasty suppliers making a profit whilst working 25 hours a day

Halliburton not the "cleanest" example you could have cited

There's a huge difference between profiting by providing the needs we all rely on and hedge funds that specialise in disaster capitalism .

You don't have to invest this way , you have a choice , there are thousands of other funds you can choose .
