You keep emphasising the issue of trust OC, which you are perfectly entitled to, most sources will have an agenda, so you're right to be wary. But you seem to accept implicitly everything our government tells you, and everything the BBC tells you, without question, two sources which also have an agenda.

Regarding those two sources, why does your antennae not quiver, why do your alarm bells not ring, why do you park your normally sharply-honed critical faculties somewhere in a lay-by, and then forget where you've parked them ? I'm genuinely baffled OC, you're nobody's fool, but you seem content to buy into government propaganda on Covid without demur, why the blind spot, do you seriously think you're getting the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth from the government, the BBC and SAGE ? Having worked with such figures for years I’m fully aware few are perfect so nitpicking is easy, but they are indicators - you seem blind to what’s happening in the world.

What is the purpose of Government and BBC colluding, what’s the big plan.

Briefly this time
There are many more people than SAGE involved in advising Government such as civil servants, professional bodies, trade bodies etc.
SAGE has a wide range of views and maybe could have a few more. Some of its advice has been wide of the mark.
Government has to balance SAGE and others and try to plot a way forward using what it has available at the time or define what else it needs.
If could and should have done better.
The BBC has made known Government and SAGE failings, I suggest it is left leaning. I’m sceptical of some of its output, but it generally provides balanced views from others rather than promote its own message.
To suggest they collude to deceive us with all the rest is nonsense. To suggest all Governments following similar paths and growing numbers are part of a big plan is crazy

So what’s the big plan, to shut us all down make the country broke so they can put in cycle lanes and China can take over the world?
