Reports the ship was unarmed are returning from a training exercise.

Yet still Reform, Conservatives and most of the media want us involved and are Slating Starmer.

Starmer is more like Churchill than Trump thinks, standing up to a facist evil dictator.

She?s following in the great tradition of female Tory leaders, Swale. Thatcher, who at least had some degree of political competence but was ultimately cruel and compassion less. Truss, the definition of delusional incompetence and now Badenoch, who I have yet to be convinced is not some sort of badly wired AI bot.

All three terrible exemplars for female leadership, which is a great pity given what a mess the male equivalents are making of the Middle East and elsewhere at present.

It does however, show Starmer to be a model leader, when compared to the likes of Trump, Netenyahu!

Indeed and God only knows where we’d be with Johnson or Truss in charge. I’ll discount Badenoch as I can’t ever see her getting close to being PM and doubt she’ll even be party leader at the next election.

rA, I hadn't heard "US" in Hegseth's little ramble.

Reading over here that the sunken ship had been taking part in multinational exercises that were supposed to include some US Navy ships. The US apparently pulled out of the exercises and then sank the Iranian boat. Has similar been reported in the UK?

All I’ve heard is that the ship (Iris Dena) had been taking part in something called a ‘fleet review’ hosted by India and that the survivors were rescued by the Sri Lankan navy.

Hegseth sounds as bonkers as his boss to me. A full on war monger and horribly dangerous.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any wierder...

    Honey wake up.
Meet your new Secretary of Homeland Security.
    His name is Markwayne Mullin.
As in, his parents looked at a baby and said: Markwayne.
That's the first thing you need to know.
    It gets weirder.
He's the only senator in America without a college degree.
He challenged a union leader to a fistfight during a Senate hearing. On camera.
In the United States Senate. Bernie Sanders, BERNIE SANDERS, had to tell him to calm down and act like an adult.
In one year while serving in Congress his personal wealth jumped $45 million.
    One year.
    Forty-five million dollars.
    While making your laws.
He believes abortion should be illegal even if you were raped.
Even if your life is at risk.
He has said on the record that even if his own wife were dying in a pregnancy, neither of them would want an abortion.
He gets to make that call for every woman in America now.
He found out he got the job on social media.
    Same as you.
Trump's announcement called him "a MAGA Warrior and former undefeated MMA fighter."
    That's the qualification.
    Not experience.
    Not expertise.
    He hits people.
    He now runs:
    - ICE
    - FEMA
    - The Coast Guard
    - The Secret Service
    - Counterterrorism
I honestly cant even tell if this is better or worse than Kristi Noem

Following the imprisonment of Reform's Welsh Leader for being a Russian Spy, we now have Matthew Aplin arrested on suspicion of spying for China. Aplin was going to be announced as a Reform candidate in this May's Senned elections.

Just when you think it couldn't get any worse or any weirder... Reform prove you wrong, again.

2 weeks ago, the cheapest petrol near me was 1.82 euro a litre. Today it's 2.06. Similar hiked prices in England?
