I wish our Chairman had such foresight. He's also overseen the the building of the highland academy training numerous youngsters, hopefully some will make the grade, and even if they do not, hopefully they will have an affinity with their local club. In days gone by, I would estimate that 95% of County and fans of the Inverness clubs would have Rangers and Celtic as their "big" clubs. Hopefully youngsters attending regularly at County or ICT will have these clubs as their "big" clubs meaning less support for Rangers and Celtic.
Both County and ICT get very healthy crowds and both have won major trophies since the SFA "allowed" them into the league. Both clubs would have had much lengthier senior football histories had the SFA allowed them into the major leagues long before now.
As for playing football six months in the dark. Aye, well done. Major bantz.
Out of interest, do you think the pyramid system is a good or a bad thing? Do Annan or Edinburgh City deserve to be in the major league because they don't have major league history? Surely teams like this are more deserving of a place than teams who continually languish at the bottom of division 3? Or maybe they're ok because they're from the south of Scotland. Why do you have a problem with teams from the North? After all County and ICT are barely much further north than Aberdeen.
Or are you just on the wind up? If so, well done, you got me well and truly hooked.
