I'm passing on your squabbles, Roly. It's not the time for daft arguments.

I have always leaned to the Left of politics, but the nature of the Labour leadership of the last few years and the antics and attitudes of many of their supporters – including some on here- left me utterly disillusioned. Keir is a good bloke and I have a lot of respect for him, but whether he can drive the hate brigade out of the party remains to be seen.

Your propensity to lean to the port side is legendary

More good news from here in Seattle if anyone is feeling the pain of isolation. A 250+ bed fully operational field hospital that was set up just 7 days ago by the Army National Guard to take pressure off hospitals and house non-covid patients is already being decommissioned and deployed to other states with more urgent needs. We are about a month into social distancing/isolation.

Sad news is, I work for the the public transportation agency, we stopped fare collection a month ago to (a) help with peoples' economic struggles (b) prevent unnecessary human interaction as fare inspectors/security had to come in contact with every passenger to check their pass/ticket. Since we did this many of our normally pristine trains have suffered extensive damage from vandalism, graffiti and filth

What is being successful sota? Being successful to me is someone who works hard to make the world a more fair and a better place and put their own interests last,,those kinds of people I admire the most ...

Having read with disgust about the 400 plus arrests in Manchester last weekend for street parties, house parties and the like(some with dj's,bouncy castles etc) I despair that we'll ever beat this virus. What punishment should we be giving these idiots ?

It’s a good question timbertop, and this coming weekend could be even worse. Unfortunately it’s not just parties and bbq’s , quite a few people around here are still having non essential jobs done, painting and decorating etc, they think it’s just a joke if you say anything.
