Sounds like he's exactly what we need right now.

And fits the business model 😎

    Hope we pull this off.

It's fairly obvious. But not gonna get into an argument over it, so I'll leave you to work it out 👍

Dig and steel is ok but you need to be able to pass the ball. See Gogic for a good example.
Butcher gives up possession far too easily.

There were times last season where Butcher and Fuchs were both out. Its such an important position on the pitch so if we have a nice mixture of players in there it can only be a good thing. You've got Butcher the very defensive, fairly solid one. Fuchs the all action pressing and passing. JDH appears to be a bit of a ball player who sits deep. Then Harkes who (whatever you think of him) is more of a box to box midfielder (doesna do much in either box mind you). Added to that Pawlett and Hoti who also gives us another option. Nothing wrong with it but I expect Fuchs, Doyle-Hayes and Butcher will be the regular starters in there over the course of the season.

Let's wait and see who goes out. But I doubt we're signing this guy to play holding.
He's versatile enough to do that if we have injuries/suspensions but I'm certain he'd be used as a creative mid.
