If Scales contract really is up next summer, I’d take him. That’s effectively a loan with the option of a free transfer. Not ideal, but worth it longer term.

    Let's face it, it won't.
    Because he's utter s'hite.

I'm prepared to listen to arguments that Goodwin played him in a role that didn't suit him.

That would be a good idea if it wasn’t for the fact he has 2 years left on his deal.

    Season ticket sales up
So far we might have spent say 1.5 million on incoming players
Are we just being to tight with are cash to get decent players in
Don't think we have been so cash rich in years so it's a bit worrying we seem reluctant to spend just that bit extra to get the right players in
As others have said we have signed 7 players so far which is hardly struggling to bring players in.

There’s been a lot of bed wetting on the hat because we haven’t signed every player we want already,I don’t think it’s as easy to sign players as some of these guys think.

Apparently the Croatian guy Teklic we were after was keen to sign for us but his club wanted £1 million for him and we didn’t want to pay that much for him.

You could argue that the club is being tight and they should have just paid the fee to get him but it is a gamble spending that sort of money on a player and it doesn’t work out.

If we only had a few to bring in we may have pushed the boat out for Teklic.
Yep I agree - theres some very good quality come in this window, added to what came in last summer. I am feeling much more positive about our recruitment and think we will see a very good team after a couple more windows. I don't mind the gambles on Roberts, Richardson and Morris - I think we have to try with players like that and see what sticks as long as we are bringing in proper first team improvements like Miovski, Duk and Ramadani as well

The memories of Nwakali, Gleeson and Zola are finally fading...

Richardson away to Stockport is a good move for both club and player.

Don't think the loon had a future with us, as he seemed to lack basic footballing skills, especially defensively and was well out of the picture first team wise.
Hope he manages to do well for himself though down the road.

Couple of journalists reporting that the Scales deal is done as well and former Hun Declan John is signing (can’t remember him either but he’s a left back).
