    Yes it probably is.

Mears Group has two main activities, construction and the one we see at NYS the repair of social housing

Not quite sure but I think firefighters aren’t allowed beards, including the female ones because the beard breaks the seal of respirators and SCBA

Definitely not allowed here and I would have thought it was the same there.

I see today's report suggests that ragingpup's beloved demographic, 18-24, are the one most likely to test positive for coronavirus- certainly up here they absolutely refuse to adhere to social distancing - and the ethnic group most likely to have it are South Asians. In Blackburn the mayor stated this week's spike was largely in the South Asian community.

I thought the local councillor said it was the Bangladeshi origin community, is that classed as South Asia?

I honestly don't know, Grist. South Asia has always seemed an odd concept but that was most definitely the phrase used on Today this morning. I would not quibble with substituting Bangladeshi though.

By the way we as a country are in denial. We will be killed in large numbers by the behaviour of certain demographics and certain ethnic groups. Just listened to WATO on Radio 4. A very nice Black lady was interviewed and said she dreaded going into the office in central London from her home in Brixton because large numbers of people on crowded buses refused to wear masks. Up here the much maligned middle class, middle aged, (dare one say, white) residents of our villages adhere 100% to the mandatory requirement and adherence in supermarkets is near universal. We don't have ethnic minorities but the only people ignoring social distancing are raging's beloved 18-24 mob of littering yobs.

I’d have thought it’s South Asia, along with India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

I see that Kirklees council has published corona advice in numerous languages including Urdu, Farsi and Arabic because they are concerned that the message isn’t getting through to some communities where a significant number don’t speak or understand English

Which is fair enough, but it got me thinking about what these people actually do that is of benefit to society as a whole?

    Can’t be easy finding work.

My dear Grist, I am frequently reported to various authorities for asking just how the f*ck an island in the North Sea ended up with huge populations from South Asia, Africa and the Carribean, many of whom can't be rrsed to learn the language. I am however repeatedly told this is a GOOD THING which I suppose is proven by events in Leicester, Rotherham, Rochdale and Bristol to name but a few. Then again if Germanic Vandals can set up a kingdom in North Africa I don't see why South Asians shouldn't set up theirs in a few northern towns.
