    No we aren’t.

We haven’t enquired about him as far as I can see, let alone bid for him.

As we bemoan our transfer dealings vis-Ã*-vis injuries etc. and think 'woe is us' then remember that Arsenal recently paid 34M for a player who is out for the rest of the season after just 50 minutes of league action.

The reason Championship clubs get that 7 million extra from the TV deal is to compensate clubs for increased wages. If for example,we had a squad of 25, on an average weekly salary of 5k, that would equal 6.5 million.I suspect that our average is somewhat lower than that.We have the money to back the manager, other clubs use it improve their squads.

One example, just one (because I can't be arsed wasting more breath than this as I know it still won't go in).

Sunderland have sold over 32k season tickets.
    We have sold what? 6k?
They have sold 5 times more than us.

We both start at £0. We both get £7mil. When those sales are added into the back, Sunderland suddenly have a sh1t tonne more money to spend (go figure). How, how, for the love of God explain to me, how, do you then expect us to compete with them financially purely on the fact that we get £7mil like everyone else does? How? Please.

Just because one aspect of the financial picture is equal, you're blindly ignoring the other ump**** factors that go into budgets. It really isn't that hard to work out, yet you bleat the same tripe over and over again. Miller'backing'Bill.

We offer £5k, a team like that would comfortably offer 10k etc.

Millerstime, I suggest going and finding a brick wall to bang your head against.

    You’re wasting your time mate.

Some of us understand basic economics and a bit about football economics ( they’re not the same!) but others either don’t understand or chose not to!!

Ok so where have the club spent the money if not improving squad?

A brick wall would be far less painful, good shout.

AFC Wimbledon want in excess of £1.2m for Iraq striker Ali Al-Hamadi due to sizeable sell-on clause owed to his old club Wycombe. Barnsley remain keen despite seeing an opening bid rejected while Rotherham are monitoring developments. #AFCW #wwfc #barnsleyfc #rufc #afcwimbledon

Sounds young with potential. 6 ft 1 for Gwru as well.

Barnsley dont sound like they are messing about.

Well said but I suspect you're wasting your time with some people on here because they seem incapable of understanding how basic economics work.
Equally worrying is they don't even appear to appreciate where we stand in the pecking order.
I'm prepared to bet that if we offered a potential signing exactly what he and his agent were looking for and then ANY other Championship club expressed an interest, he wouldn't end up at Rotherham.
Unfortunately that's the harsh reality of our position and highlights the difficult environment that our recruitment team are working in

I know millers financial situation it just makes it harder to believe we resigned Hall Morrison Peltier. From what I've been reading we're back in for Conor Coventry, Wiles leaving? don't need too many midfielders when we are short in other positions.
