Good day for Notts and especially Matthew Montgomery with a big ton. A shame to lose the skipper just before the close, but are in a position to get a hundred or so ahead tomorrow.

Matthew Montgomery is looking a good prospect. Nice to see a batsmen who is willing to get there head down and accumulate runs.

The Derbyshire dominance by Nottinghamshire continues. Shaheen Afridi looks very good, and the batting was superb until victory was in sight. Montgomery looks a hell of a player, was not sure if he could score his runs quick enough but happy to be proved wrong.

I think it was always going to be tricky batting second on a pitch that was difficult to get the slower bowlers away. Are we seeing a more mature Alex Hales this year, nice to see him there at the end. It will be interesting to see if Samit is still a force with the bat in games to come, then we will know if we have strength in depth. Desperately need Fletch or Ball back.

Poor performance tonight, Munro dragged the innings back with his batting and left a lot to do with not many overs left. I make no comment about Tom Moores, it's all been said before.
