If you think we've regressed so much then how did we get on in the League Cup last season ?

If we'd got a pen for the blatant foul on Ferguson at Easter Rd and if Devlin had stayed on against Killie there's a chance we could be sitting top now.
And if your aunty had balls. We have had lucky breaks too

How did we get on against Brendan Rogers in that final. The same as we always do. Defeat. As we did in the league a couple of weeks back. So maybe we are not regressing there. We are stuck in a f@cking rut in that respect

We are the worst footballing team we have been for years. Its been pretty murder to watch. Our squad is poorer that the last few seasons too

Thats the regression i was on about.

We are improving though. That nobody can doubt. But we are still not a good team and the good resukts have been v pish pretty much. We are three critical players short. LB, creative midfielder and a striker. We could also do with a winger but thats not as essential. Thats down to terrible transfer dealings

This window will be critical in how the second half pans out. Sevco and the pigs will be stronger. No doubt about it

Only reason Consi and Reynolds are not being paraded with their extensions is to keep up the pretence that we are still negotiating with Shinnie and GMS.

Andrew Considine won’t talk with other clubs. Not through his own choice mind you

Who will be captain if / when Shinnie and McKenna go?

    Devlin? Ferguson?

Id go Dev. He is a very vocal player and seems to lead the organising of the defence

It's not easy being our captain so we should definitely sign someone who's already a captain. Someone that used to play for us as well.

    Joe Shaughnessy!

Mikey D was Hamilton captain at a young age, nothing to suggest that Fergie could not do the same.

Devlin, without a doubt, with the lad Halkett from Livi, if / when he signs, as deputy.

Fergie is captain material, no doubt about that.

    Agree the Devlin part.
    He’ll be captain.
Lewis might have a shout at it too.

However, Halkett will go to Hibs as Eve Ambrose replacement.

What lucky breaks have we had this season ?

If we're playing as murder as you're insinuating we wouldn't have managed to pick up 39 points in the league and knock out Hibs and Sevco in the League Cup. We had good performances in the league wins against Sevco (a), Hibs (h) and Hearts (h). Do you class those 3 sides as pish ?

I wouldn't say our squad is any poorer than in the last few seasons. The likes of Anderson, McLennan, Campbell and Gleeson have proved they can make a difference when called upon.

We're actually 4 critical players short at the moment. You didn't mention Logan whose been a liability for the last couple of seasons, hopefully Hoban will be fit sometime soon.
