Having worked overseas you are correct, when the defunct club used to play the timothies you could not get moving in the bars with my foreign friends, they even switched off the bundesliga to allow the 2 donkey race be shown, same in Norway and in Denmark ;

90 minutes of bigotry regardless to the standard of fitba wasn't confined to Celtic v rangers.

Other fixtures while perhaps not quite as high on the scale of bigotry in some cases, certainly were a lot lower in standard of the fitba.

Without a doubt there are ex pats- orcs/timothies, , thankfully in my time working overseas I have never had the misfortune to be in their company much and I have never seen a 90 minute bigot fest whilst a team from whatever country I am in is playing on tv :
