re: get on this bet before they realise there mistake

Once happened to me betting in a basketball match. I was betting that they'd be less than a certain amount of points scored, the bet they were offering was far too good to be true so I bet several times more than I would have usually on that type of bet.

Difference is they paid out, the money went into my on-line gambling kitty and I thought no more about it, then about 2 weeks later all the winnings from that bet were removed from my account.

I phoned them complaining and they just said 'they'd made a mistake with the original bet' I said I'd take my business elsewhere and they just said 'fine, have a nice life'

    That company was Paddy Power.

No difference- Corals paid out and then took it back.

Media coverage is the only way to pressure them into it

I think the key to this one is that it wasn't risk free as both horses could have fallen or pulled up.

I don't see that it matters one a day.....If they offer the bet then punters can take it risk free or not.

I wonder what happened to the without favourite losing bets for the punters who backed the other horse alone

In fact as I interpret the rules as they state ignore the favourite then stakes would have been returned if both horses fall.

Bookies put a lot of effort in to prevent this sort of arbitrage but if they fail then it should be their problem not the punter.

One of the terms and conditions is not to share information with a third party so I will not share any further information until I get a decision from Corals.

    Sorry!

You are not going to get any joy down the legal route. The only way you will receive a payout is if the company decides that the bad PR they would get would outweigh the costs. The third party stipulation is designed to stop you from instigating anything that may bring about the bad PR.
