Well said frenchlion. Beginning to wish I'd never picked this one up at all but it's good to have an informed response. The slightly hysterical and xenophobic responses of some over this whole EU referendum is as puzzling to me as it is alarming.

Let's get this straight once and for all for everyone to see, you can come on here and voice your opinions no problem but don't get personal if other posters don't happen to agree with your opinion, do you understand Anagram? For the past 2 days you have really pushed your luck so back off. If you can't do that then I will sin bin you, if you still insist on carrying on the same way then I will Red card you, do you understand?

Okay, let's indeed 'get this straight'. Gaz apparently feels 'insulted' by something I have written today. I've asked him to explain but he hasn't...just keeps telling me to read my posts. Then you get involved, not entirely coincidentally I imagine, and demand an explanation about my reference to 'slightly hysterical and xenophobic' responses.
At that point our posts crossed and I didn't know which one of you I was replying to but, to clarify I'll answer your question.
I believe, rightly or wrongly, that this referendum is having a very divisive impact on our country and is currently encouraging a slightly hysterical fear and mistrust of foreigners (xenophobia). This cropped up in conversation with frenchlion in the context of Afghan stating that 'they all hate us' and seemingly basing at least part of his conclusion on the behaviour of some countries at Eurovision, a view subsequently 'liked' by both gaz and claw.
What is so dreadful about that and why does gaz feel insulted or ex
