Leicester seem to have kept most of the same team they finished last season with - they didn't finish in the same position as the previous season. I firmly believe, as I have said elsewhere, that the players we have at the moment have massively underachieved this season, playing to nothing near their true potential. There are one or two that, on the face of it, are not for us but in the ma

Yet strangely Swales/Vanders, and I'm not making a case for or against him but, amongst all the 'lies, damned lies and statistics'...it is a fact that only Karanka, amongst this season's Championship managers, has a better win ratio than Wassall's 50% so maybe Ella has a point.

Think I'll still be disappointed if it's not someone new...but if it's Paul Ince - and I don't think it will be - then Helloloves' proposed boycott won't seem so daft.

Ah but its not "like for like" is it Wassall hasn't had a full season and had the expensive Harry holding his hand.

I have nothing against Wassall, certainly haven't demonised him as some have, but a permanent appointment would be odd - anyway I reckon McClaren at 33-1 must be worth a punt

Very true Swale...but Ella does support the idea of continued mentoring.
As for McClaren at 33-1...just a waste of a 'punt', or something like that ;-)

The problem I have with all this talk about Wassall being given a chance (and I sincerely hope Mel isn't considering it) is, why even consider the notion of it when as a club, obviously not financially challenged, we can go out and attract the best? Maybe some supporters are quite happy to let DW continue his apprenticeship while DCFC flatline for another 3 or 4 seasons. Sorry but no one is putting a convincing argument forward for continuing with rookie Wassall.

I hope you are right Swale and that someone suitable has been primed. If we don't hear some indications in a week or so I get a feeling it starts to sway in favour of Mel sticking with his boy.

I see no other scenario than DW getting the job!! Why, because MM won't accept a manager who won't do it the Mel Way (ie. an experienced hard nosed 'this is how we do it' type) or another rookie (other than DW) !!
