Thing with Joey Acido is that, even though we're dingles most of us can read, and when we heard that Dyche was signing him we checked out his Wiki page, and his record is even worse than you think it is from memory, he appears to be evil personified. So the question many fans were asking was 'wtf is Dyche doing signing this pyschopath'.

And then he rocks up, plays well, gives 100% every game and is as good as gold, not a hint of a problem, even though every team we played tried to wind him up and get him sent off. We know what he's done in the past, but you can only speak as you find, other club's fans can dig and dig all day, but we've heard it all before, and you won't find a Burnley fan with a wrong word to say about his time with us.

He bet on games which as a professional footballer you are not allowed to do..which is why he got done..its the rules of the game which he broke..he did things he was not allowed to do..that is why he was banned from the game..he bet on his own team to lose for gods sake.

In my opinion a cheat..albeit not a convicted cheat but a banned cheat..there you go the Rev has corrected himself.

To get a slightly more balanced point of view Rev72, might I suggest you read Barton's "No Nonsense" autobiography? Joey who earned the respect of almost every Burnley fan during his time with us comes across as a guy who knows he is a fallible human being, admits his chaos and has done everything in his power to better himself.

I have a very strong personal dislike of the duplicitous busy bodies at the English FA. Their hypocrisy is astonishing. I know you will probably not watch Match of the Day because Leeds don't feature on it, but tonight watch the programme and count how many teams have some sort of betting sponsorship emblazoned across their players chests. Check out the advertising hoardings and tell me that betting is illegal and don't feed me the BS that Barton is a cheat, because he is anything but!
