He,s snapping up the best players from other teams who he's has witnessed first hand and have impressed him.
He told us this ages ago with smudger Smith. Gave RUFC defenders a torrid time when he played for Bury. He recruits him and then the player gives virtually every opposition defence a torrid time when playing for us

Teams like Blackpool finished way down the league because they don't have as many good players as we did. But......If we poach the best players from these teams then there's a very real chance that our quality will improve.
Only time will tell if they are cship quality but PW hasn't let us down has he
    Have some faith
    Bury were relegated.

    Blackpool finished mid-table.

These are not the best players in League 1.

Look at the stats, Vassell was 20th best striker in terms of goals, nowhere with assists.

Going to be a real struggle I think but we'll see.

I understand your doubts I thought that too at first but I watched a few of Vassells moments on you tube and by looks of it other Blackpool players apart from them two was poor some of best plays was from Robertson to Vassell every time he played off anyone else they buggered it up.

Strongest aspect of Vassell passing weakness he’s big
Strongest aspect of Robertson tackles weakness heading in goals

Of course this is only my thought on that video but all in all I like them both

Looks to me that we can't actually afford players from the teams at top of League 1 last season.

Will we have the lowest budget next year along with Bolton?

If we do stay up it will be some achievement and that may well lead to Warne being poached as someone said above.

Just look at the Championship division next year though, more than half the teams have been in the Premier League relatively recently.

Should see some quality teams this coming season anyway.

Graham Carey - 14 goals and 12 assists, now he's a player who could play in the Championship, even if he is 29.

    Interesting, yet bonkers.

Plymouth finished seventh, Blackpool twelfth. So therefore all Plymouth players are what the the Millers should be signing?

Maybe.....just maybe Warne and his team have been watching and assessing the Blackpool signings. But they finished twelfth.

I suspect that Warne doesn't sign players after watching them once and then Googling their "stats"

"He was Blackpool’s player of the season last year and is reported to be on Alex McLeish’s radar for a call-up to the Scotland squad – another reason Robertson opted to join the Millers.

So, having ticked all the right boxes, Warne was delighted to get his man."

Then again, you know more than Warne.

Depends what’s available mate look at it this way warne has brought 2 free players in who by looks of it have some real potential. That frees up money for players who will cost a lot so instead of bringing in 7 players 250k each from league 2 warne can use that money to convince clubs to sell better players to us, of course this is providing mr Stewart allows it.

Also I keep saying this but you don’t seem to understand just because you were in premiership don’t mean you have a good team look at Sunderland.

Also I’d just like to mention our odds for relegation are increasing slightly

Cheer up mate we are going to play Man U in a year or two in prem

14 goals and 12 assists is better than 11 goals and no assists though isn't it?

    And that's from midfield.

Football is a team game so collectively Plymouth were a better team than Blackpool (possibly).
    Rotherham were better than both..
Warne is looking at players to improve the squad so it doesn't matter what he pays as long as there better
If vassell was in our team last season would he have scored more goals or less?.
If Robertson was in defence would we have conceded less or more goals?
