Despite Tuesday's shambolic performance, AH would be nuts to get rid of HK at this stage. He made his decision to sack Nolan and bring a fresh face in, and unless we're in free fall, he needs to stick with it. This season is already a write-off. All we can do at this stage is to try and salvage some credibility from the wreckage. Sacking another manager won't help the situation now.

Assuming we carry on picking up the odd win here and there, I'd give HK the rest of the season and then reassess. If he manages to get us up to mid-table, give him the summer to build his squad. I'd only sack him if we go on a long losing streak and the fans start to go mental. HK is one big decision away from becoming Trew Mk.II.

I suppose another question in whether Hardy has the stomach/funds to rebuild again next summer, almost certainly with less interest and season ticket sales to back it up.

Lincoln's success shows what progress in any competition where there is a financial benefit can achieve.
Mcculloch isn't really interested in how we do in the FA Cup but every post of his is to have a go at the club and AH.

Sorry, if it makes you feel better:

Agendas aside I actually & thankfully missed Tues game ( a combination of "man flu"& lack of enthusiasm did for me) but through listening & taking note of the sensible posters on here I get the impression that it was proper bad,and this is worrying especially the negative tactics part. However I will repeat more or less the same thoughts that I have had over our last 5/6 managers, unless we have a better replacement lined up then sooner or later we have to back one of these "Rookies" to come good, the continuous merry go round of sign em, sack em aint working & I suspect that with every sacking this imaginary queue of " Better Managers" becomes smaller. I would have given KN longer but much like many of the earlier sackings I could see an argument for getting rid but shouting for HKs head already is beyond me.

Glad? it was only a touch of flu Kev, we all wondered where you were. We all felt you should have been down there suffering like the rest of us.

Just for clarity - I mentioned elsewhere that Duffy provided the required vocal leadership & stability, no qualms about bringing him on. It was the fact that we were clinging on for a goal less draw rather than try to be positive and win a game against a team that sits in the bottom half of the table and had squandered a host of chances.

Duffy for Milsom, Hewitt or Brisley woukd have been fine but to, effectively, surrender at that stage was, quite frankly, bizarre.

You would think so but on the Totally Football podcast a guy from Opta said possession is just the percentage of total passes made in the game as timing possession is too hard and the statisticians make mistakes!

There may be times when I wonder about some of the things he does, but I would never publicly malign him. Overall I think he's done a good job and feel quite sorry for him the way this season has played out.

You though don't ever have a good word and come over to me as bitter for some reason. You use every opportunity to 'question his competence'
