So everyone get ready for a good old moan.

Hmm. Warney originally said the retained list would be out last week.
Everything to do with employment/recruitment at our club seems to be cumbersome and amateurish.
Players change their minds all the time but that shouldn't mean the issuing of the retained list gets delayed.
There, I've got my moan in early and I don't even know who's going or staying yet 😊.

To make a retained list by definition you need to know who you are going to retain.

The other side of the coin is you also have a list of those you aren’t going to retain. Players the manager has to tell “you’re not wanted”

A hard thing to do, particularly with the way PW likes to develop the “ band of brothers” approach

Maybe he gives those sort of jobs to Richie Barker or sits back hoping a player on his not wanted list gets frustrated and helps him out by saying “I want away Boss”
