We could fold that is still possible if things go very wrong I dont think it will come to that but admin is not something i'd rule out.

Basically the fans who have already paid for ST have been conned not that I was daft enough to give AH my money.
6000 have been conned over the last 10 years by our leaders!

Still regard hardy as despicable. Always will.
Of course. Without a buyer, we'll eventually cease to exist, unless us fans can mobilise in some way. Hardy doesn't have the funds to keep us ticking over, even as a non-league club, so somebody has to come in and pay the bills.

Chances are whoever ends up owning us will have an ulterior motive. The people in the running are not Notts fans. They might not even be football fans. The club is being used as a pawn in a bigger game, which is all about making money through other channels. For the buyers, buying the club is a means to an end, not an end in itself. That's just the reality of the situation. It's that or no club at all.

Is 12 points really a big price to pay for a financial fresh start?
Thinks its 10 points - "13.A.5 For the avoidance of doubt, where a Club is subject to more than one Insolvency Event (for example Administration followed by a Company Voluntary Arrangement), the Club shall only be deducted one set of 10 points, such deduction to apply with effect from the first Insolvency Event."

    Can't see us avoiding admin.

Everyone is assuming Hardy can't pay off the debt himself when maybe he can. Him not paying it does give him leverage to get a quicker sale by bluffing he hasn't the funds and if they don't speed up they will get a non league club likely to be relegated again with a points deduction and no guarantee of getting the club through admin. I do look back and actually wish it had worked out for him, we will do well to get another owner so positive about Notts and football in general in the community but he was unfortunately very naive. Other than a local fanatic like him who on earth is interested in buying Notts unless there's ulterior motive. There is no way a business consortium would ever buy a club as low down as us even when we were in League 2, as you are probably 90% likely to lose millions, as the only goal now is the Premiership as even championship clubs are losing 20 odd million a year on average, so there has to be another commercial reason which probably doesn't bode well for Notts.

This would explain the hold up. The Africans are still the best bet as they have a plan to take the club forward. But they are waiting for Hardy to give up on wanting a fee.

Admin is looking a certainty even though Hardy is still trying to negotiate a fee.
    I too have a Source, its " DADDIES ".

If AH has a nest egg somewhere he won't be spending it on Notts. All the potential buyers and other vultures circling are waiting to prey on the weak and defenceless. AH has no position of strength in this whole process and if he doesn't re-evaluate his expectations accordingly admin is without doubt the most likely outcome.

He'd have them fund it himself, bearing in mind the rumours flying about of others paying the wages, that says to me he can't afford it, and he'd need to afford three months worth of running costs.

He is also the only person who can do it as Notts no longer have any charge holders so admin is a moot point really in my eyes. We're either sold or we get liquidated, there will be no administration

Also as matt_magpie says "There is no way a business consortium would ever buy a club as low down as us even when we were in League 2, as you are probably 90% likely to lose millions, as the only goal now is the Premiership as even championship clubs are losing 20 odd million a year on average, so there has to be another commercial reason which probably doesn't bode well for Notts."

The above says it all really.
Do we want May consortium - NO
Do we want SA consortium - NOT SURE - as the two quotes above imply "What is in it for them? - Who are they? - remember Munto?
Do we want a football fan? - Yes in an ideal world

I'm beginning to think that way also.

Yes I think I tend to agree to a point. He has three options. 1. Sell the club as a going concern (now looking less likely) 2. Go into admin and the administrators try to get the best deal for the creditors which will basically be zilch or 3. Liquidate in which case its bye bye Notts County. It is highly likely that the courts will wind the club up anyway if a sale has not been agreed and the HMRC debt paid.

    What a f00king sh1te state of affairs
