Funny how it doesn't seem long ago that I was contemplating it and now I'd struggle to make it under double that limit

Since you ask, yes I do, and it's a lot. I've stayed in over 10 countries in the last year, I've been on 7 flights in the last month alone and landed back from the USA last week. I am conscious of the environmental impact of my lifestyle.

I put my flights into a calculator and it tells me the CO2, I then go and pay to offset my carbon. Some environmentalists poo-poo the idea of offsetting, but I looked into the facts and can see no scientific basis for these opinions. It's not cheap, but its certainly affordable and it should be included in the ticket price as standard. If you can't afford to neutralise the environmental impact you shouldn't be flying.

Then again there’s always the carbon footprint of clapped out camper vans to consider.

Good news is mine was bought at less than 3 years old and is much more efficient than old clunkers. I also can live entirely off the solar power.

You can also offset your carbon from campervans!

If paying to salve your conscience gives you some comfort then good luck with that. Morally bankrupt
BTW did you bump into Kerr whilst you were stateside?

I think that’s quite admirable of John to do that and I believe he really does it too.
