If and it's a big IF, the Tories can somehow shape up and keep their northern gains by addressing the social and economic imbalance we suffer up here, they will breeze the next General Election.

I have been a fully committed Labour supporter and activist for almost fifty years, it pains me to say it but somehow, someone will have to rebuild the Labour Party from the ground up. Corbyn should hit the backbenches right now. Thank you for your service and goodbye.
The real problem for Labour as an election winning force is that they are in the grip of Momentum, and I don't see how the moderates can wrest the Party back out of their grasp any time soon, if at all. £3 a pop for the hard left to capture the party of the working class and turn into a plaything for infantile lefties who have never grown up or grown out of their student union fantasies.

It was fascinating watching Alan Johnson and Jon Lansman sat next to each other in a TV studio last week, Johnson I'm sure is far too decent a man to harbour any thoughts of violence, but I got the distinct impression he would willingly lay into Lansman with a baseball bat for what he and his hard left chums have done to his Labour Party. Ed Miliband has a lot to answer for, although I'm sure Boris and the Tories think the world of him.

I think you are grasping just a few of the reasons why I have the Labour Party sinkov.

sinkov, I watched that as well and I have to agree with your thoughts --there was certainly no love lost!
BT --get yourself off to Bournemouth and enjoy --no matter what the result. I am off to St James Park to watch Toon v Palarse ---Bruce and Carroll upset me last week with their comments --well as much as I ever get upset! ---I shall be hoping that Palarse do a job on them like they did on us!

The only thing I didn't grasp BT was what took you so long. It's a bit like 'will the last decent, working class Labour man to leave turn off the lights'.

Too many people are totally entrenched in their views now and even if things go well there will be many remainers who will still think we made the wrong decision.
And there are too many leave supporters who, no matter how bad things get, will never admit that the decision is wrong.

It will take time for the country to come to it's senses once more.

In the meantime the Lib Dems should be concentrating on beefing up their policies in other areas - we have really taken our eyes of the ball here and our current polices are lacklustre to say the least.
Unfortunately there appears to be no effective opposition to Boris. Corbyn is lingering on like a bad smell that won’t disappear and the darling of the left is Rebecca Wrong-Daily. Is this Jeremy without a beard? There is a real opportunity for the Lib Dem# if they are prepared to accept the People should have been listened to on Brexit and move on, that reform of our electoral system is long overdue FPTP is an anachronism and only the Lib Dem# can deliver on this because Momentum have no idea what electoral reform is. We need to strike effective deals with all the Rest of the World that wants to trade with us and that includes the EU if they have any sense. I am worried about Scotland. It is their right to choose independence. I think they will be worse off by leaving the Union but I don’t have a vote on that. I do note we have a load of SNP members in Westminster. Foot in both camps?

Crikey outwood I will have to respond to your latest diatribe when I get a spare hour or two. Right now I'm heading south.
