It's not unlike our ground, main stand with unused enclosure underneath, 2 big stands behind each goal and small covered terrace down the side BUT they only use half of it or a third of it and house their support together.....exactly how we would be if we used Shankly.
I bet they score more goals shooting towards that goal as well.
If we employed the same approach as Dunfermline where would you put the Away Supporters. Apart from the home games against the Dabs the Away supporters could be housed in sections A, B and C of the Main Stand.

If we don't talk to Nelms he won't be able to claim that he was part of the idea.
In my opinion the only way to organise a decent support is to decide which home game you are going to target and use the slogan ‘Your club needs you’ or something similar. If the South enclosure can be quickly sold out comments could be made on social media that the Bobby Cox Stand will soon be sold out at this rate. This is what happened in the seven days before the Championship decider on Saturday 3rd May 2014 when the ‘panic factor’ took over and Dundee fans rushed to buy tickets after it was reported on the Sunday afternoon that the South Enclosure was sold out. A similar thing happened at the ‘Doon Derby’. I collected my prepaid ticket from the ticket office at 11.30am on the morning of the game and while I was in there it was announced that the last ticket for three home stands had been sold.

I'd put them in the cox if warranted or last section of mailn stand if not.

Dee fans from centre stand area east, shankly and Derry.

I think it has been stated before that the problem with your suggestion is Dundee supporters have to queue up for to purchase/collect tickets in the Dundee Direct shop gaining admission to the ground.
At present Away supporters enter the Shankly Stand or Last section of the Main Stand. With your suggestion Dundee supporters and Away fans would likely pass each other at the rear of the Main Stand in Sandeman Street going to their respective Stand.
The simple solution is to revert to PATG and the problem would be solved.

Rross, think we need to take baby steps. Maybe fill the Derry first to show the power of fans forums? I agree with your suggestion to change the home end to the Shankly has the potential to bring the support together around the Shankly but it isn't going to happen mid season. Why not show that there is still a love for the club and see what forum and social media based marketing can do for the club? If we just do it there might be a benefit in showing our supporters and the owners that there is a power to influence positive behaviour using social media.

I'm probably the least qualified person to be advocating such an approach but I am sure there are guys who work in this sector who could help.

If we do a simple thing like persuading all the PATG supporters to go to the Derry, we might be able to do some of the other stuff too, but let's take the first step and fill the Derry. Just need a decision as to which game we should choose.

You're missing an important point...the games you mention the team were winning home games at the time...in my opinion people will go to watch a winning team but the home form we've had over the last 3 seasons has culminated in the debacle that was Saturday night...and for me you can try all the different things that are being muted in this post but until we have a team that attacks scores goals and wins a decent percentage of home games the crowds will keep on dwindling

In our league....alloa, Arbroath, dabs and Morton all manage fans mixing.

ICT car park and pub below stand mixed.

    Ayr....no sure

Partick, crossover, mixed stand and mixed concourse.

Pars the only side I know that don't mix and apart from dab game the only place there has been bother this season!!!

It can be done, I'd suggest must be done.
