    George Washington was English.

    George Michael was actually called Georgios.

    George Orwell actually called Eric Blair.

    There aren't that many famous English Georges outside of royalty, there is of course George Martin the Beatles producer and from the same era as George Michael, Boy George, real name George Alan O'Dowd.
