No but Let's hope Hardley is. You can see why Scunny wanted Coxey. Hey, that was nearly rude.

I reckon the next man will be a foreign "coach" and he'll come with his own assistant.

    That's my biggest concern.

You hear all this BS these days about a possession-based game and not needing old-fashioned ball-winners, which may (or may not) be true at the highest levels, but in lower league football you still have to win the battle before you can put your foot on the ball. The Paul Harding/Ricky Ravenhill/Ian Richardson type of player is as important today as they were 10, 20 or 30 years ago in the dogfights we see at our level. Michael Doyle is our closest match, but he's nearly 40 for crying out loud.

If we don't have enough of that energy and bite in midfield, the only option is to pack a larger number of bodies in there, but even then somebody's still got to put a foot in somewhere. Kevin Nolan's team fell apart when he lost Ryan Yates and replaced him with Noor Husin, who couldn't and wouldn't tackle a paper bag.

So our best forward and possibly our best player is a Mansfield Town youth team player, OK.

All horribly familiar. Spanked by a Harrogate team at Wembley with lots of legs, mobility and general midfield dynamism coupled with marauding full backs who love to get forward and be positive, and we’re still planning on starting with an old man in midfield and crab like full backs.

    Still, only a friendly.

It's a confidence booster, eh folks? Totally outplayed by a team from a lower division who are in 2nd gear.

I would say ALL teams need a ball winner take a look at Liverpool 2 of their 3 that start are grafters who can put their foot in.

We tried this with Moniz/Nolan and it didnt work and it wont work under Ardley either.

As I said yesterday due to Covud/no fans he is bullet proof this season we simply wont be able to sack him.

I expect minimum of play offs failure to do that he has to go.
