I have to disagree with that - at 1-0 up against 10 men, it's up to the whole team to capitalise on that advantage and push on to score more goals and win the game, not defend a slender advantage and let the 10 men back into it. Then at 1-1, there was still plenty of time to raise their game and retake the lead but they didn't do that. That is not solely down to Mark Connolly, that is the entire team including any subs who played that day.

Honestly Mecca, I'm not really interested in dragging this on all day. All I did was point out that we have in fact not conceded any penalties to date. You asked me what I thought of the rest of your post so I gave my honest opinion. As far as I'm concerned we are each entitled to our own opinion and therefore I'm done.

Ok, here's one for those who prefer not to concede rather than to score more.

The next time we play our country cousins would you prefer that we won 4-0 as opposed to 6-2?

Apart from whoever stands between the Shed sticks (who will be wanting to keep a clean sheet) the great majority will grab the latter score!

Being honest I'd probably say 4-0 as it's a more complete team performance. Certainly would not say no to 6-2 either though 😋

Bottom line is we are not creating chances and gifting them too, both need addressed. I don’t want to sound too harsh but last seasons 6-2 was a key game for both teams, we were all over the place defensively that night until Connolly got injured.

Just looking purely at Fridays game, we were completely dominated all over the park and had it not been for some inspired goalkeeping we would have been dead and buried before half time. Certainly before Connolly's mistake anyway. I was far more upset that our midfield was non existent and our entire team didn't string two passes together all night. As has been said, we played much better in the 4-0 defeat at Kilmarnock and actually created plenty, just had no one able to finish. We also dominated possession in that game, Friday we offered absolutely nothing as a team and the ball was constantly on top of our defence, I think everyone knew defeat was likely with that kind of performance. I'm really hoping the boy Fuchs is going to take hold of the midfield and prevent that kind of performance happening again.
