Stop moaning and making excuses before we even know the situation or the players / team available. If we are short on the bench I'm sure a couple of Academy lads wouldn't mind the match day experience. Whichever team we put out we will give them a game. A defeatist attitude gets you nowhere.
If we couldn't put a side out we could always have asked for a postponement. Still time to be postponed yet.

Interesting that Cooper not in Gateshead squad. wonder if he is coming back.

I take it you don't see an unfairness in this situation Godsend. Dont you think we would have a better chance against barnsley at a later date it this match was called off? Sunderland have had 4 called off..that can't be right surely...

...and it aint gonna be called off short of somebody nuking the NYS.

Well the tactic is clear if we are forced into playing

1. Give being nice a day off
2. Play 4-5-1
3 Fall down for every minor tackle
4 Fall down and stay down as long as possible for even minor injuries
5 Try to pinch yards for throw ins
6 Take as long as possible for free kicks and corners
7 When clearing the ball out of play make sure it goes into row Z or into the canal
8 Use subs one at a time and take as much time as possible doing it

Yes the ref will add time but they do that anyway for us, but even the most biased ref will find it hard to add 25 minutes

#rufc boss Warne says the EFL have advised the club the ten-day self-isolation period can be nine for the Covid player who will now be eligible for the bench.

The #rufc player who may now make the bench for the Barnsley game won't be given more than ten minutes' game-time, says Warne. Player welfare.

What about the welfare of the Barnsley players and staff.
What about the welfare of their families.

Still think the EFL need to explain the differences between our circumstances and other clubs who are not playing.
The EFL should ensure their explanation covers all aspects of health and safety regarding the game tomorrow

Of course it's not fair roly but by the looks of it EFL have made their mind up so we have to make the best of a bad situation.
Something not right here!! They ought to have moved the game back 24hrs to Wednesday to give the player that's been isolating a little bit more " player welfare time".

Dunt matter if the ref only adds a min on we will still concede Grist!

If we have not asked for postponement we deserve all we get. Wonder who Tony Stewart will hold responsible for this calamity.
